This character guide focuses on Peach and Daisy!
According to Peach’s official Nintendo description…
THE super princess. Watch out for her powerful kicks while she’s airborne. Using her down special, she picks vegetables and throws them at her opponents. Sometimes she even gets items…like a Bob-omb!
Her basic move set is the same as Peach’s, but this princess has her own unique personality. She’s known for being upbeat, energetic, and a bit of a tomboy.
Peach & Daisy Moves
Toad (B) – Uses Toad as a shield, spreading spores if he gets hit.
Peach/Daisy Bomber (Side + B) – Jumps sideways and delivers a powerful hip bash.
Peach/Daisy Parasol (Up + B) – Jumps high into the air and opens her parasol. Keeping it open allows her to slowly float downward.
Vegetable (Down + B) – Plucks a veggie while on the ground. The veggie’s power depends on its mood.
Peach/Daisy Blossom (Final Smash) – Giant peaches/daisies float down from above and nearby fighters fall asleep. The closer a fighter is to Peach/Daisy, the longer they stay snoozing, giving Peach/Daisy plenty of time to launch foes or to recover health by eating/smelling the peaches/daisies.
Echo Fighters have different taunts and animations. She uses a blue Toad instead of a red Toad and has flower effects rather than hearts.
It is unknown whether this has any effect on gameplay, but Daisy is slightly shorter than Peach as well.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Peach’s Strengths
The Toadstool princess may have been upstaged by the appearance of Daisy, but she still has all the turnip-tossing antics you want. Her floaty nature gives her some fun air potential and projectile combos are a blast. Also, look out for that frying pan; it packs a wallop.
Peach’s Weaknesses
Peach can get overwhelmed, however— especially if a foe can read her floaty air-game and respond accordingly. Try to keep pressure-heavy opponents at a distance and use that wonderful Toad servant’s face to block any critical blows. It’s what he signed up for! Probably…
Daisy’s Stengths & Weaknesses
The brunette princess lacks any significant differences from her counterpart, Peach. The biggest change with Daisy is she’s a little shorter, so it’s possible her reach is affected. Otherwise, just consider Daisy an alternative to Peach and don’t worry too much about any major change in playstyle.
Outfits
Peach has lost her Princess Daisy outfit since Daisy is available as an Echo Fighter. Instead she has a golden version of her normal skin.
