Shao Kahn is making a return in Mortal Kombat 11! Available as a pre-order bonus, this is the first time Shao Kahn has been playable in a mainline game for a while, so this is a treat! As expected, his Fatalities are as brutal as he is. Find out more in our Mortal Kombat 11 Shao Kahn Fatalities guide!
No matter how old the series gets, Mortal Kombat is still probably best known for its Fatalities. And Mortal Kombat 11 is far from an exception. Over-the-top and violent, Fatalities are a spectacle of blood and brutality. Although they shouldn’t be confused with the (faster, but equally lethal) Brutalities of Mortal Kombat 11. From burning to dismemberment, every character has a bizarrely gory bag of tricks to work with. And today we’re looking at all the Shao Kahn Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 11.

Shao Kahn Fatality 1: Back Blown Out – Mortal Kombat 11
You pull off the first Shao Kahn Fatality when you’re in close range of your opponent. The button sequence is as follows: Back, Forward, Down, Down, Back Punch (Triangle on PS4, Y on Xbox One, X on Switch).
The first Fatality begins with a hard swing of Shao Kahn’s hammer straight into his opponent’s midriff (no doubt breaking multiple ribs). Then he brings the hammer down on the foe’s head, having them kneel before him — just like you’d expect from an evil emperor. The final blow to the top of the head is so powerful that it forces the skull and part of the spine out of the victim’s body, making a bloody mess.
Take a look for yourself in the video embedded above! We’ve got a nice, clean recording of both of them in the same video. But clicking the one above this subheading will show you the one you need automatically.
Shao Kahn Fatality 2: Kahn-Sequences – Mortal Kombat 11
You also pull off the second Shao Kahn Fatality when you’re in close range of your opponent. The button sequence is as follows: Back, Forward, Back, Front Punch (Square on PS4, X on Xbox One, Y on Switch).
This is one of the sillier Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 11 (and that’s saying something), and it makes fantastic use of both Shao Kahn weapons. First, he cuts his opponent down to size by playing whack-a-mole with their head — smooshing the noggin down into his foe’s torso. That doesn’t kill them, of course, because this is Mortal Kombat 11 — Fatalities need a bit more oomph. So he whips out his spear, stabs into into the opponents core, and swings them into the air. To finish things off, Shao Kahn drops their head out onto the floor by cutting the torso in half. Yeesh!
