After years of teasers and delays, the long-awaited Halo Infinite has finally been released. Set on the Zeta Halo, you once again assume the role of the Spartan, Master Chief. Rescued by a fellow USNC soldier, Master Chief is tasked with dispatching a rogue faction of the Covenant called The Banished. Unlike other entries in the franchise, Halo Infinite mixes classic linear level design with a large open-world that players can explore.

Similar to other Halo games, players can find hidden collectibles called Skulls, which will add unique (and often difficult) modifiers to the game. While there are a few Skulls tied to the late-game missions, one of the earliest you can acquire is tied to The Tower mission. To get this Skull, I highly recommend having the Quickshot upgrade for your Grapple Shot; otherwise, this will be a bit of a pain.

Unlike pretty much every other Skull, this one is in a pretty obvious location. You can find this Skull at the very top of the massive prison you are battling through. When I say the top, I don’t mean the top floor where you fight the boss — that would be too easy. This Skull is located on the roof hundreds of meters above your head. I strongly recommend beating the entire mission before you decide to go for it. Otherwise, you will have Banished enemies shooting at you the entire time you’re trying to climb.

Once you beat the level, jump off the platform to the ground below and approach one of the legs holding the structure up. Grapple onto the leg and then run along the top until you reach the large octagon-shaped vent doors that are open.

Here’s where things get tricky. You need to first grapple up to the overhang above your head and then have enough time to grapple near the edge of the overhang. If you grapple near the edge, you should get enough momentum to propel yourself upwards and onto the roof. This is extremely difficult to do without the Quickshot upgrade since the reduced cooldown allows you to quickly ascend this prison. Alternatively, you can wait until much later in the game when you gain access to the Wasp at the FOB. Flying this aircraft will let you access the roof with basically no issue at all as you will avoid everyone down below.

Regardless of the method you choose, the Skull is located in the middle of the roof among some vents and metal boxes. This is the IWHBYD Skull, which makes rare (and often funny) combat dialogue far more common.

To activate this Skull, go back to the main menu and select “Load Game.” Now, pick which save slot you want to use, select it, and then pick the “Skulls” tab. This will bring up a menu of all the Skulls you’ve unlocked. Even if you find a Skull on a different save file, it can still be used on other existing save files. They will also appear as completed on your other save files, which is a nice quality of life addition. Remember: Skulls will disable saving and achievements, so use them at your own discretion.
