Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is officially live and it’s time to roll for initiative! Set in the Borderlands equivalent of Dungeons & Dragons, players will join explosive aficionado Tiny Tina and her crew in a game of Bunkers and Badasses. While this title retains the same shooter-looter design of the core entries, it embraces a medieval setting that’s constantly changing under the whims of your Bunker-Master.

Unlike previous Borderlands games where you play as one of a small handful of characters, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands lets you create your character from the ground up. While you’ll still choose your basic ability pool, what your noble hero looks like is entirely up to you. While you can customize your appearance at the very start, you can actually alter your look a bit later.

How to Unlock Quick-Change Stations

In order to change your appearance, you will need to unlock the Quick-Change Station in Izzy’s Fizzies in Brighthoof. While you will visit Brighthoof quite early on, you will need to complete the next story quest, called A Hard Day’s Knight. This quest is about two to three hours into the game depending on how much you explore the overworld and the difficulty setting. Once you finish this quest, take the portal back to Brighthoof and restore the town to its former glory. Doing so will make all of the vendors in this place available, including Izzy’s Fizzies.

Located in the southern portion of town, go into this tavern and interact with the Quick-Change machine by the bar. This will look like a large vending machine with rotating images of different body parts. Approach the machine and interact with it to bring up the character customization screen from the beginning of the game.

Once you’re in the Quick-Change Machine, you can cycle through the different tabs at the top to alter your appearance, banner, emotes, and hero statue. You can change everything about the way your character looks for free, so don’t feel like you’re tied down to a specific choice. Additionally, you can unlock more cosmetic features such as new tattoos via random loot drops from enemies or chests. If you do get a new cosmetic item, go to your inventory, highlight it, and press A (Xbox) / X (PlayStation). This will cause you to add it to your collection and clear up some space in your backpack!

As for your Banner, Emotes, and Hero Statue, these can be altered by going to the corresponding tab at the top of the screen in the Quick-Change Machine menu. Keep in mind, you won’t have access to a ton of cosmetic options for these right away as they are tied to loot drops you can get while playing the game. If you’re a little confused about what Hero Statues are, these are monuments of your character that you can admire by the main square in Brighthoof. After all, everyone’s adventurous hero deserves to have their own twelve-foot-tall statues!
