Borderlands 3 is finally here and Gearbox Software has given its fans — at least the ones with $250 to spare — the opportunity to be real world Vault Hunters with the Borderlands 3 Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition.
Like most modern AAA games, Borderlands 3’s release has been spread out across multiple tiered versions of the game. The Standard Edition just includes the game, and that will be fine for most, but the Diamond Loot Chest Edition includes much, much more (we’ll get into exactly how much, much more below). But, yesterday, a Reddit user revealed that the Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition also includes some hidden prizes.

Hidden Secrets in the Borderlands 3 Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition
Yesterday, Redditor Barkalow wrote a post on the Borderlands 3 subreddit, informing readers of a key hidden in the Borderlands 3 Diamond Loot Chest Edition. Their post linked to a photo on Imgur showing the key on a mock package from Torgue’s Delivery System contained in the Collector’s Edition. The code is:
ZRWBJ-ST6XR-CBFKT-JT3J3-FRXJ5
It unlocks a Golden Key in-game, which can be used to open the Golden Chest on Sanctuary III. Apparently, this code can be used an unlimited number of times. (As of this writing, we entered the code in the “Rewards” section of our SHiFT account to check and were able to claim the reward, as well).
Once the code is redeemed, a message from Gearbox pops up on SHiFT. It says, “You’ve found a SHiFT Code for a Golden Key hidden in the Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition of Borderlands 3! We thought we hid these better! You can redeem this key by visiting the Golden Chest on Sanctuary III!”
Beneath Barkalow’s post, another user, modustrollen85 wrote, “There is another one on back of the foldout stand with the Calypso Twins stained glass art on the inside.” Additionally, user LtFail wrote, “Just a hint there are 5 total look on all packes closely. Along with scan qr and bar codes [sic].”
Hopefully, helpful Redditors will continue to share the rest of these hidden keys as more are discovered. That way, we’ll all get to enjoy some of the benefits of the Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition without having to shell out the cost of a used console.
