The Maiden's Rhapsody FFXI Collaboration Event Returns to FFXIV Next Week

Experience the Maiden's Rhapsody ahead of the FFXI Alliance Raid!

While the upcoming Dawntrail expansion will have an entire Final Fantasy XI Alliance Raid, for many years, all Final Fantasy XIV fans have had to celebrate the game's older MMO sibling was a single event, and if players missed it, they were out of luck. However, The Maiden's Rhapsody FFXI collaboration event is returning to FFXIV ahead of Dawntrail's release.

The event's return was announced on Jan. 16, the same day FFXIV's Patch 6.55 was launched. Per the announcement, the event will run from Monday, Jan. 22, at 12:00am PST until 06:59am PST on Monday, Feb. 5, giving players two weeks to complete the event.

The collaboration event sees the Warrior of Light meet one of the brave warriors from Vana'diel and obtain a unique set of armor glamour inspired by FFXI. The Amatsu gear is a full set that isn't gender locked and looks great on many classes, especially Samurai and Monk.

The event first released in November 2015 to celebrate the final chapter of Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, the supposed conclusion of FFXI before a new expansion, The Voracious Resurgence, was added in 2020. The event replayed in November 2017, May 2020, and April 2022, giving it roughly a frequency of approximately every two years.

The event holds more significance now than ever, given the announcement during 2023's London Fan Festival for the upcoming Echoes of Vana'diel Alliance Raid series coming with Dawntrail. Releasing as part of Dawntrail's 7.X patch cycle, this new set of 24-person raids will allow fans to experience some of the history and story of FFXI. As a result, this collaboration event, The Maiden's Rhapsody, is the perfect way to get hyped for the new raid series.
