The Eorzea Cafe is a Final Fantasy XIV-themed cafe with two locations, in Akihabara and Osaka, Japan, and it’s long been a place that players dream of going. With an FFXIV-inspired menu, decor, and special giveaways, a trip to either of the Eorzea Cafe locations is a bucket-list item for many Warriors of Light. That’s why a new special event menu, announced on Jan. 11, is making things even harder to bear.
Unveiled on the official Eorzea Cafe site via blog post, Eorzea Cafe in Osaka is celebrating its seventh anniversary with a special event. During the event, which will run from Jan. 16 until Feb. 29, visitors will receive a special scratch card with prizes such as stickers, postcards, and in-store deals.
Beyond this, there’s a special new collaboration menu which includes some tasty-looking options. There’s salads inspired by the Sil’dhn Subterrane, Azem’s Crystal drinks, and Nutkin-themed desserts.

This is on top of the usual menu, which features items such as the Mandragora Potted Salad, Ala Mhigo’s Fierce Beef Steak (complete with sword skewer), and Tataru’s Takoyaki. Drinks-wise there’s one named after every single job, many NPCs, and, of course, matching Alphinaud and Alisaie-themed milkshakes.
The Eorzea Cafe is unfortunately Japan-exclusive, and has never made it’s way outside of Akihabara, Tokyo, and Osaka. That's perhaps why finding these releases is particularly disappointing, as it offers a chance to see these delicious-looking treats themed that anyone outside of Japan won’t experience, barring a pilgrimage to the cafe.
However, if you do find yourself in the Osaka area in the next month, you should definitely check this out. These unique menu items and prizes are one-of-a-kind, and will likely not return once the event is up.
