Final Fantasy XIV will be down for maintenance on April 1 to facilitate the release of the brand-new Final Fantasy XVI crossover event and other updates. The event goes live on April 2, so the game needs to swap out the Little Ladies Day and Hatching-tide content that ends just as the maintenance begins.
The downtime will be standard maintenance, running for a predicted four hours, though the duration is subject to change. There are no reported additional changes in this update, but minor fixes and changes are sometimes included in these updates.

The FFXIV x FFXVI crossover event introduces the world of Valisthea to players of Square Enix’s premier MMO. Meeting Clive Rosfield and frost wolf Torgal, players will have the opportunity to fight the Eikons of FFXVI and unlock their own Torgal minion and mount. You can check out the full details about the FFXVI crossover in this guide.
