FFXIV Relic Weapon Guide: Blade's

With this many memories, you won't soon forget your Resistance journey.

With your Augmented Law's Order Resistance Weapon in hand, it is time for the last step of the process. It's been a long road, but you're almost there now. This guide will teach you everything you need to know to complete the last upgrade of the Resistance Relic Weapons introduced in Final Fantasy XIV's Shadowbringers

Check out our main guide for the Resistance Relic Weapons for help with the entire process.

Upgrading Your Law's Order Relic to Blade's

In order to unlock the final upgrade to the Resistance Relic Weapon, you'll need to complete a few quests first. The first one is What Dreams Are Made Of. This is a simple breadcrumb quest that will lead you to three follow-up quests that you can tackle all at the same time.

After completing the breadcrumb quest, you're presented with three quests from Zlatan (X:6.1, Y:4.9). We recommend you pick these up all at the same time, so you can work on them all in tandem. The three quests are Spare Parts, Tell Me a Story and A Fond Memory. These quests can look like a lot of work, since each of them requires a total of 60 items to be collected, but you'll only have to complete these once per character. Each of these steps is described in detail later in this guide.

Next is another quick breadcrumb quest from Gerolt, A Done Deal. Simply talk to the NPC required for this step, and you'll unlock the last leg of our Resistance Relic Weapon journey.

Finally, you'll be able to grab the quest, î‚¿ Irresistible, from Zlatan. This one you will have to do once per weapon, where you'll be collecting 15 Raw Emotions. As always, remember that you will need your Relic Weapon in either your inventory or Armory Chest, not in your hands, in order to turn in the required materials to complete the quest.

How to Get Compact Axles and Compact Springs

In order to complete the quest "Spare Parts", you'll need 30 Compact Axles and 30 Compact Springs. This is a lot of items, and this quest and its counterparts will probably take you a while to complete. Luckily, you'll only need to go through this grind once per character rather than once per weapon.

As usual, you have a few options for how to get these items. Remember that you will need to have this quest active in order to receive the items. Each method is guaranteed to drop one currency unless otherwise noted.

How to Get A Day in the Life: Battles for the Realm and A Day in the Life: Beyond the Rift

For the quest "Tell Me a Story", you'll need to collect 30 copies of A Day in the Life: Battles for the Realm, and 30 copies of A Day in the Life: Beyond the Rift. As long as you have the quest active in your journal, you'll be able to obtain these items whenever you complete an activity that would grant them.

Same as before, each activity is guaranteed to drop one the following items unless otherwise noted:

How to Get Bleak Memories of the Dying and Lurid Memories of the Dying

The last quest in the set, "A Fond Memory" asks you for 30 Bleak Memories of the Dying and 30 Lurid Memories of the Dying. Having the quest active is of course a requirement to get these items, and you can once again pick between staying in Zadnor or participating in Normal Raids. This time, it's the Eden raid series that'll give you the needed items. Each method is guaranteed to drop one currency unless otherwise noted.

How to Get Raw Emotions

The last objective in the long journey to complete a Resistance Relic Weapon, is getting 15 Raw Emotions for the quest "Irresistible". There are a few ways to go about this, giving you a good chunk of variety for this repeatable quest.

Dalraida

Dalriada, is a CE in Zadnor that plays a lot like Castrum Lacus Litore did in The Bozjan Southern Front. Getting through Dalriada will grant you three Raw Emotions. If you can get people in your instance of Zadnor to run this instance when it pops up, this is a very good way to farm for these emotions.

Delubrum Reginae

As long as you have the right quest active, you'll be able to get two Raw Emotions every time you complete Delubrum Reginae. This is considered the way to go if you're making more than one Resistance Relic Weapon, since you can have more than one quest active at a time. Leaving "Irresistible" active in your log, rather than completing it, allows you to keep farming up Raw Emotions. So if you also have î‚¿ A New Path of Resistance active by starting on a second weapon, you'll be able to get three Timeworn Artifacts as well as two Raw Emotions for every clear of Delubrum, cutting down on the required grind massively.

Any level 70 Dungeon

Any level 70 dungeon you complete while you have "Irresistible" active will grant you one Raw Emotion. This is a very good way to farm up Raw Emotions if you're tired of the Bozjan content, or if you're only going for one weapon.

Heaven-on-High

Much like Palace of the Dead option for Timeworn Artifacts, the drop rate here isn't great. Floors 1-30 have an especially low drop rate, while 31-100 give you a better chance. Still, this is widely considered to be the worst option you're presented with because you are not guaranteed to get a Raw Emotion every run.
