Since the first release of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, the developers have included a series of mounts as a reward for clearing each expansion’s Extreme Trials. For Endwalker, these were the Lynx mounts, a series of winged felines with some fearsome features. Each one is themed after the respective Trial and an excellent reward for completing them.
However, getting these Endwalker Lynx mounts is no simple task, as you need to complete some of the game’s most difficult max-level content. Still, there are plenty of players still looking to clear these Trials, so hop in a Party Finder and try your luck!
Lynx of Divine Light
The Lynx of Divine Light is a reward for completing The Minstrel’s Ballad: Hydaelyn’s Call. This Trial, like all of the extreme Trials in Endwalker, is unlocked by speaking to the Wandering Minstrel in Old Sharlayan, X: 12.7, Y: 14.2. The mount comes from the Lynx of Divine Light Flute, which is a rare drop, not always appearing after a clear. Additionally, you can purchase the Lynx of Divine Light Flute for 99 Umbral Tokens from Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Han, X: 10.6, Y: 10.
Lynx of Eternal Darkness
The Lynx of Eternal Darkness is themed after Zodiark, and comes from the Lynx of Eternal Darkness Flute, which drops from The Minstrel’s Ballad: Zodiark’s Fall. Alternatively, you can purchase it for 99 Astral Tokens from Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Han, X: 10.6, Y: 10.
Bluefeather Lynx

The first new Lynx added in 6.1 (Which also messed up the naming convention), is the Bluefeather Lynx. It’s acquired from the Bluefeather Lynx Flute, which drops from The Minstrel’s Ballad: Endsinger’s Aria. Again, you can trade 99 Ultimatum Tokens to Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Han, X: 10.6, Y: 10.
Lynx of Imperious Wind
A green and imposing Lynx inspired by Barbariccia, this Lynx is acquired from the Lynxy of Imperious Wind Flute, a drop from Storm’s Crown (Extreme). The tokens required to purchase are 99 Windswept Archfiend Totem, again to the ever reliable Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Han, X: 10.6, Y: 10.
Lynx of Righteous Fire
The fiery passion of Rubicante, the Archfiend of Fire, are embodied in the Lynx of Righteous Fire. You guessed it: To unlock this mount, you’ll need to receive the Lynx of Righteous Fire Flute from Mount Ordeals (Extreme), the Rubicante Extreme trial. Unfortunately, while you’ll receive two Flamecloaked Archfiend Totems for every clear, these are not tradable until the release of Patch 6.5, whereupon you’ll be able to trade 99 to Nesvaaz for the Flute.
Lynx of Fallen Shadow

The last currently available Lynx mount, at the time of writing, is the Golbez Extreme reward. Defeat him in The Voidcast Dais (Extreme), for a chance to receive the Lynx of Fallen Shadow Flute. Each clear will also give you two Voidcast Archfiend Totems. 99 of these can be traded after the release of patch 6.55 to Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Han, X: 10.6, Y: 10 for the Flute.
Lynx mount number seven?
Each of the Extreme Trial mounts since Heavensward has had seven total mounts, meaning we’re left with one more Lynx to obtain, presumably from The Abyssal Fracture (Extreme) Trial slated for release in Patch 6.5. It will likely be themed after Zeromus, a huge Voidsent summoned by Golbez at the close of the last patch’s MSQ.
A final Lynx
Typically, after all the Extreme mounts have been gathered, a final mount is released as a reward. This will likely be a more impressive-looking feline or a different Lynx of some kind. It likely won’t need you to complete an Extreme Trial to unlock, rather just a short quest chain.
