Pawn Specializations in Dragon's Dogma 2

Here are all of the Pawn Specializations available

Pawns have access to two different types of traits, which change how they act in and out of battle. The first is the Pawn’s inclination, which is what you set at the start when you create them. The second is the Pawn’s Specialization, which you can help tailor by using Pawn Tomes. Here is everything you need to know about Pawn Specializations.

How To Get Pawn Tomes in Dragon’s Dogma 2

In order to get Pawn Tomes, you need to complete quests from NPCs in Vermund and Battahl. Alternatively, you can give these NPCs gifts, such as precious stones, to try and win their favor. By doing so, you have the chance to be awarded with a Pawn Tome.

The first Pawn Tome you’ll receive is most likely the one from helping the young Apothecary in Melve by giving her a Fruit Roborant. By speaking to her father in Vernworth, you’ll be gifted the Chirugeon Pawn Tome.

Pawn Specializations

So far, it seems as if there are six Pawn Specializations. However, should more be found, this guide will be updated to replicate the correct information. Below is a table of the Pawn Specializations and how they will affect your Pawn.

Pawn Specialization What it Does
Aphonite The Pawn will remain silent at all times, except under special circumstances
ChirugeonThe Pawn gains the initiative to use curatives on the Arisen and other allies as and when needed
ForagerThe Pawn will create markers on the map for enhancement material locations
HawkerThe Pawn will offer to purchase items from your inventory for gold
LogisticianThe Pawn will gain the initiative to combine materials in the inventory and move items between allies
Woodland WordsmithThis pawn can translate Elvish for the Arisen

You will find these pawn specializations as you make your way through the world and complete quests for people. It may take a while to get the one you are hoping to get. Some are better than others, as some are more geared to making the Pawns useful.
For example, the Chirugeon and Woodland Wordsmith are some of the most useful specializations for your Pawns.

That’s everything you need to know about the Pawn specializations in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
