Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris players seeking Adept versions of The Exalted Truth hand cannon and the Unwavering Duty machine gun, or grinding for their god rolls will have to get them soon. Bungie plans to remove both from the loot pool for Season 22.
An update in the This Week in Destiny (TWID) post shared that both guns will soon leave the PVP activity’s reward rotation, making room for a new Trials weapon and “a rock-solid favorite” to join the loot pool next season.
After the TWID originally stated that players could look forward to two new Trials weapons, the official Destiny 2 Team Twitter account shared a correction. It notes that one of the returning weapons is a “highly requested hand cannon” with updated perks. (The TWID has since been corrected.) Some players speculate Bungie is teasing the return of Igneous Hammer, an Aggressive Frame Solar hand cannon. However, Bungie hasn’t shared any details about the new weapon arriving in Season 22.
The two weapons will join The Messenger, The Immortal, Astral Horizon, and Unexpected Resurgence in the Trials of Osiris loot pool rotation for Season 22.
The July 28 Trials weekend will be the last for Unwavering Duty, though the August 4 weekend is last for players to grind for The Exalted Truth. Although The Exalted Truth and Unwavering Duty will no longer be available as Trials match rewards or as Adept rewards after going Flawless, Guardians can still earn non-Adept versions of each by focusing Trials engrams at Saint-14.
In addition, the developer said that players can expect a Developer Insight post with updates covering economy changes and ritual activity weapons for the upcoming season, which is set to launch on August 22.
