The year 2024 has just begun, but we already have news for the Halloween-themed Festival of the Lost event. In last week's This Week in Destiny blog, Bungie revealed two armor sets for its yearly spooky event, allowing players to vote for either one for each class. The following This Week in Destiny post revealed the results of this poll.
This Festival of the Lost 2024's theme is good wizards versus evil wizards, but thankfully, every class will get a cool wizard hat regardless of the set. So, based on the poll, this year's Festival of the Lost sets will be the following for each class in Destiny 2:
- Warlocks will have the evil wizard armor set. Warlocks had a close race, with the evil wizard winning by a 4% difference.
- Hunters get the evil wizard armor set. Bungie recorded that 64% of Hunters chose this set.
- Titans can get the good wizard armor set. A majority of Titans chose the good wizard set, with 65% votes.
The good wizard theme has a bit of a steampunk aesthetic in all its armor sets. The design for good wizards is more rounded, with a scholarly feel. The blue and gold shades reflect the sky, and the sun and moon motifs add to the wise wizard look. Every class also has a satchel with different wizarding tools on each: scrolls and a book on the Titan's satchel, potions on the Warlock, and flasks on the Hunter.
The evil wizard theme has a witch-like style that leans in on a more ragged appearance. The colors in this theme featured dark brown, black, and silver highlights with hints of red and purple. Compared to the good wizard sets, each armor piece here is sharp and pointy with a bit of a glow, giving it a wicked tone. The wizarding tools are present in this set too, with each class exchanging their tools from the good wizard set in one way or the other. Graviton Forfeit will look immaculate with this set for Hunters with its glowly effects, and the Warlock helmet from this set looks like the Caretaker’s helmet from the Vow of the Disciple raid.
Still, this flexibility doesn't mean that it has become easier to pick a set as both the good and evil wizards are top-tier. It would have been nice if Bungie could have rewarded both sets, but alas, there can only be one winner.
