The Dawning is back in Destiny 2, where Guardians will need to bake and deliver cookies and various types of goodies for all of our favorite vendors in the game. This also gets us the new Dawning emblem called Points of Light.
How to get the Points of Light Emblem
To get the new starry night-themed Points of Light emblem, you will have to complete the Dawning’s introductory quests called “Bake a Cookie” and “Give a Gift to Zavala.” To do this, you will have to travel to the Tower and speak with Eva Levante to get The Dawning quest. This will trigger the Dawning event and you will receive Eva’s Holiday Oven 2.1 to help you bake. For the first objective, you will be tasked with baking and delivering Gjallardoodles to Zavala. Head to the Quests tab and open Eva’s Holiday Oven. You will be able to craft the Gjallardoodles by using one Ether Cane, one Delicious Explosion, and 15 Essence of Dawning:
- Ether Cane: Defeat Fallen enemies.
- Delicious Explosion: Defeat enemies with grenades, grenade launchers, or rocket launchers.
- Essence of Dawning: Complete activities such as playlist activities and patrols. Weekly quests will reward you with more Essence of Dawning.
All you need to do now is to go to Zavala at the Tower and deliver his favorite cookies. This will complete the “Dawn of the Dawning” event challenge, which will reward you with the Points of Light emblem.
Many other vendors want sweet gifts, so use your Cookie Delivery Helper — an item given by Eva after delivering cookies to Zavala that keeps tabs on all your pending deliveries — and Eva’s Holiday Oven to receive further information on where to find said ingredients, which will revolve around defeating a specific type of enemy in a specific way.
Be sure to visit Eva Levante to collect Dawning bounties, complete event challenges, and even focus specific Dawning weapons. Finally, keep tabs on the Dawning event card to complete each of the triumphs and unlock the new shader and Upgrade Modules. This year's Dawning brings a brand-new glaive called Albedo Wing, too.
