We get new weapons with every season in Destiny 2, but Season of the Wish has plenty of ritual and activity-related weapons in store, and the Incisor is one of them. Incisor is one of the first Legendary trace rifles in the Kinetic slot with the Strand element. Moreover, it sports an impressive perk pool with strong picks for any given situation. Here’s how players can get the trace rifle and the best perk combinations for PVE and PVP.
How to Get Incisor in Destiny 2
Players can get Incisor from the Trials of Osiris playlist. To unlock the weapon for focusing and random drops at the end of Trials matches, players will need to claim the weapon from Rank 10 of Saint-14’s reward track. Doing so allows players to focus the weapon and potentially get the weapon as a random drop after Trials of Osiris wins. Players can also get the Adept version of this weapon by winning seven matches in a row and going Flawless when it’s the featured weapon in Trials.
Incisor God Rolls
Incisor PVE God Roll
- Arrowhead Brake
- Enhanced Battery
- Slice / Envious Assassin / Subsistence
- Target Lock / Hatchling / Killing Tally
- Masterwork: Reload or Stability
Incisor has a robust set of perks that have proven their worth on other trace rifles, but it also has a brand-new perk exclusive to Strand weapons called Slice. Slice allows players to sever a certain amount of targets for a brief duration upon casting their class ability. Sever is a great debuff as it reduces incoming damage from enemies and having the ability to Sever enemies outside of Strand could be very strong. Subsistence and Envious Assassin are good perks on any weapon and Incisor is no different. When it comes to the fourth column, Target Lock and Killing Tally are strong damage perks as each offers a different damage bonus depending on how you use the weapon. Hatchling generates Threadlings, which have great synergy with Strand builds and is more fun than a pure damage perk.
Incisor PVP God Roll
- Arrowhead Brake or Fluted Barrel
- Projection Fuse
- Zen Moment / Slice
- Tap the Trigger / Target Lock / Hatchling / Kill Clip
- Masterwork: Range
When it comes to PVP, Incisor has an impressive stat package with high stability, high range and 100 aim assist. When it comes to perks, Zen Moment is a no-brainer with how much it reduces recoil and flinch upon causing damage with the weapon. Zen Moment would allow players to literally beam Guardians in PVP. Slice can be a fun alternative with its Sever capabilities, but it’s not the top pick. For the fourth column, players can build into Stability with Tap the Trigger or go for a damage perk like Target Lock. Alternatively, Hatchling is a sleeper pick for PVP as the Threadling you create after a precision final blow can drive players away from a revive or heavy ammo in the Crucible, making for a viable but unorthodox pick. The last perk that you should look out for is Kill Clip. It may not seem good on a special weapon but with trace rifles being close to primary weapons and with the amount of special you get in non-competitive PVP settings, it might actually be usable! Also, it’s the only Trace Rifle in the game with Kill Clip, so it’d be worth keeping one just for that reason alone.
