The Sims 4 is a great game for unleashing your creativity, especially if you enjoy building houses of all shapes and sizes. Luckily, you can use cheats across all platforms. Using these cheats can help you clutter empty corners or make shapes that you may not be able to make without them. While cheats may occasionally lead to minor glitches, such instances are infrequent. Below is a comprehensive list of building cheats you need to know in The Sims 4.

How To Enter Cheats in The Sims 4

Depending on what platform you’re on, you’ll have to use a different command. If you’re on PC, you want to use the following: Ctrl+Shift+C all at the same time to bring up the cheats console. Enter a cheat of your choosing and press the enter key to make it take effect.

For Mac, you want to do the following: Command+Shift+C.

On Xbox and PlayStation, simply press both shoulder buttons and both triggers at the same time to bring up the console menu.

All Sims 4 Build Cheats

Compared to other categories in The Sims 4, build mode may not have as many cheats. However, these unique build cheats can help you create the home of your dreams, making your gameplay truly special.

Here are the Sims 4 build cheats and what they do if you use them. Before you type in any of the cheats, make sure that you have opened up the cheats menu and type in testingcheats true. This will allow you to use the following commands in your game.

Cheat CommandWhat it Does
FreeRealEstate OnAllows you to build anywhere for free
FreeRealEstate OffStops all free-building
bb.moveobjects onMove objects anywhere, regardless of the grid placements
bb.enablefreebuildAllows you to build anywhere you like
bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlementUnlocks any of the locked Career items from Build Mode

Once you’re done using cheats, you can either keep testingcheats on, or you can type in testingcheats false, and this will disable all cheats.

That’s everything you need to know about the cheats available for build mode in The Sims 4. Happy decorating!
