FFXIV Moogle Treasure Trove – March 2022 Irregular Tomestone Guide

It’s the last hurrah of these infamous duties in their current form, which offer great prizes for your effort!

It’s time for another Moogle Treasure Trove, where the Final Fantasy XIV community throws itself body and soul continuously against the same duties for fabulous limited-time prizes! The previous event came ahead of the launch of Endwalker, pushing players toward dungeons important to the then-upcoming expansion. This one seems to function as a last hurrah for certain content that’s changing in Patch 6.1.

The new patch will not only be adding the Duty Support system, letting players run A Realm Reborn dungeons with AI companions, it’ll also be changing up existing story duties like The Praetorium, Castrum Meridianum, and Cape Westwind. The former two are the most infamous Main Scenario Roulette duties, partially because of their length and because veterans run them at a lightning-fast pace most sprouts can’t keep up with. The planned rework is breaking these up into multiple duties or changing the player counts to bring them in line with other existing content.

You only have a limited time to experience these duties in their original form. And to encourage everyone to do so, enter the Moogle Treasure Trove. Running through specific dungeons, raids, trials, and PvP encounters tied to this event rewards you with Irregular Tomestones of Scripture. (Tomestones will not be rewarded for using the Unrestricted Party option.) These unique Tomestones can then be taken to an Itinerant Moogle in Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, and Ul’dah.

The Moogle has a host of cool items to trade for, including mount whistles, orchestrion rolls, and housing items. The key items for this event are the Shiba Inu-sporting Mameshiba Earring, the cut Tamamo Headband, and the Euphonious Kamuy Fife. The latter is one of the Kamuy mounts you get from completing Stormblood Extreme trials, so this is an alternate way to obtain it without throwing yourself at them and hoping fate smiles upon you.

This Moogle Treasure Trove will run from March 14 at 1 a.m. PT until the maintenance period for Patch 6.1 (TBD). All the hard details on what duties you need to run for Irregular Tomestones of Scripture and where to turn them in are below. The full list of available items is over at the official event page.

The Blue Mage Rises

The last time this event came around, Blue Mage became the belle of the ball, as a fully-leveled and kitted Blue Mage could speedrun certain encounters faster than other jobs. That will likely be the case for this iteration of the event as well. It’s looking like Aurum Vale will probably be one of the faster duties on the list and Blue Mages can use the combination of Ram’s Voice and Ultravibration for trash mobs, and Missile for the bosses.

Regardless, it’s gonna be fun grinding until Patch 6.1. If you want to know what’s coming in that patch, we have a full breakdown.
