Yakuza: Like a Dragon Kappa Statues Guide - Locations and Rewards

Gain 2,000,000 yen fast with this photography gig

The smartphone makes a grand return in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, but it’s not there just to take selfies with the group. After you have unlocked Part-time Hero, one of the orders will task you with finding Kappa Statues scattered around Yokohama. Once you’ve found them, all you need to do is take a quick picture of them. These can be tricky to find, but don’t fret, as we have all the locations so you can get the 2,000,000 yen bounty as soon as possible.

Kappa Statue Locations – Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Once you have unlocked Part-time Hero during Chapter 5, there will be many requests available to tackle. “Kappture the Kappa” is one of the first to appear, which asks you to photograph all ten of them. There’s several rewards for this: a Water God’s Amulet, a Tempered Safety Glass, and a Staminan XX. Most importantly, it will also grant you 2,000,000 yen.

You can find all Kappa Statue locations below, as well as the requirements for those that are locked behind main story events.

Restaurant Row

During Chapter 6, the main story will drag you and the party all the way to Restaurant Row. Once you arrive, go up the stairs where an enemy encounter will take place. You can take a picture of this Kappa Statue right after the fight is over – just grab your phone camera and aim at the balcony that’s overlooking the area before continuing with your mission. If you’ve done this already, don’t worry, since you can return at any time afterwards.

Hamakita Park – Hero’s Harvest

One of the food trucks on the northeastern side of Hamakita Park has a Kappa Statue inside (for some reason?) so go ahead and take a quick picture once you’re done shopping.

S Sakura River St.

Just at the southern end of the street, you’ll see a Kappa Statue right before the river.

Sunrise St.

Located at the southern end of the street, right before the X marked on the map. If you’re heading towards that direction, keep an eye on the windows on the left, and you’ll see a Kappa Statue inside an empty shop.

Romance St.

In the Red Light District, following the path from the Rose Blossom Cabaret, go east until you find an alleyway (which is shaped as a “1” in the map). Look at the stairs that are behind the gates to notice a Kappa Statue – you can take a picture from your position, so don’t worry about needing to have access.

Jinnai Station

Just north of Yokohama Blvd. and left to Jinnai Station, you can find an elevator right at the corner of the street. If you peek inside, you’ll notice a Kappa Statue. Take a picture of it before a car tries to run over you.

Survive Bar

During your many visits to Survive Bar, make sure to spare some time to go upstairs and take a picture of the Kappa Statue which is laying down inside the closet.

Chinatown

In Chinatown, as you’re walking through the main street, you can find a Kappa Statue in a gap of the wall a couple steps from Yi Xing Tang, heading north.

West Carriage Highway – North Jinnai Station

This Kappa Statue is found right at the farthest northwest corner of the map, all the way left from Carriage Highway and right after the batting cages. You’ll find it right there before the sea.

Fukutokucho (Koreatown)

This Kappa Statue can only be accessed from Chapter 7, after you have infiltrated the Geomijul hideout. As soon as you’re back on free roam, climb up the stairs and look across the street. The statue is standing on the balcony on the other side.
