TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge Casey Jones is an unlockable character in Dotemu’s latest beat ’em up. Wearing his signature ice hockey mask and carrying one bat of a punch, he’s a fun and versatile character that you’re going to want to have on your roster. The new brawler from Dotemu and Tribute Games brings a ton of combos, pizza, and references to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe. This guide explains how to unlock Casey Jones in Shredder’s Revenge.
How to Unlock Casey Jones in TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge
At the moment, Casey Jones is the only hidden character in Shredder’s Revenge, making up for a total of 7 characters with all four turtles, April, and Splinter.
If you’re wondering how to unlock Casey Jones in TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, all you have to do is beat the campaign once.
That’s it! It sounds simple and it is so, but there are a few things to consider in case you’re just about to start playing. In total, there are 16 levels to go through — they don’t tend to be particularly long, and usually follow the same old beat ’em up formula of culminating with a boss fight before heading to the next stage.
That being said, there is an overworld that you can explore somewhat briefly in-between stages. Here you can access features like multiplayer or the Turtle’s Lair, which lets you see all achievements you’ve gotten and the requirements for the ones you haven’t. In addition, there are a few NPC characters hidden inside levels as well (which you may only recognize if you’re a big fan, mind you) that will appear in the overworld once unlocked. They usually have a side mission of sorts, asking you to collect items such as VHS tapes and Headlines from the stages and deliver those to them.
Completing these side tasks isn’t that hard, albeit time-consuming as it’s going to require either being extremely thorough in each stage from the get-go, resulting in a slower pace than usual in return, or replay levels to hunt down those missing collectibles. The reward is usually a few dozen points to level up your character, which you should keep in mind before redeeming the points in order to decide which character you want them for.

Finishing all 16 stages to add TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge Casey Jones to my roster took slightly over 2 hours, which is quite a decent chunk of time for a beat ’em up. There are three difficulties to choose from and all have fancy names, but you can expect the usual easy, normal, and hard difficulties. There is also an arcade mode which, supposedly, should let you unlock Casey Jones as well if you beat it all the way through. But just to be sure, I’d still go for the regular story mode at least during your first time with the game, and go from there.
Hope you have fun playing through Shredder’s Revenge either alone or with friends! Did you know that up to six people can play at the same time? It sounds chaotic and it is, but also extremely satisfying.
