Sony is Offering Ten More Free Games So People Will Stay The Heck Home

Horizon Zero Dawn and nine other games will be rolling out over the next month or so.

As we reach a full year of the coronavirus pandemic, Sony has once again reached into its bag of games and is offering 2016’s Ratchet & Clank to PlayStation owners as part of its Play At Home initiative. The idea if that free games give people something to do indoors instead of doing headass shit like frequently leaving your home while a panorama is happening. And, since one game wasn’t enough, Sony is extending the Play At Home initiative to include ten more games, eleven in total..

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony confirmed it would be making nine games available for free on March 25, up until April 22. These are all games from various independent developers, including the following:

  • AbzÛ
  • Enter the Gungeon
  • Rez Infinite
  • Subnautica
  • The Witness
  • Astro Bot Rescue Mission
  • Moss
  • Thumper
  • Paper Beast

All those games will be dropping for free on the 25th, but Horizon Zero Dawn will also be made available from April 19 to May 14. So if you’ve never played any of these games, you’ll have a lot to keep you busy indoors and safely away from any exposure to the deadly virus that you could contract and spread to others.

If you still haven’t downloaded Ratchet & Clank, the platformer is still available as a free download for the rest of the month of March.

In other news:

Horizon Zero Dawn and Rathet & Clank’s inclusion as free downloads feels pretty strategic on Sony’s part, considering both series are due for new entries in 2021. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is coming to PlayStation 5 on June 11, and Horizon Forbidden West is projected to launch later this year on PS4 and PS5.
