Paper Mario Multiplayer Guide - Does Paper Mario: The Origami King Have Multiplayer?

If you’re a more casual Nintendo fan, or just looking for something new to play with friends, you may be wondering if the new Paper Mario game supports any kind of multiplayer. Whether online or couch coop, this is one of the biggest selling points for Nintendo’s latest console. So here we are to answer whether or not Paper Mario: The Origami King supports multiplayer or not.

Does Paper Mario: The Origami King Support Multiplayer?

Sadly the answer is no. There is no coop campaign and there are no multiplayer party modes of any kind. This is a solo experience that you’ll just have to get through yourself.

If you need help, however, go check out our guides! We already have guides up explaining how to open the Whispering Woods chest, how to get inside the Toad Town Manhole, details on all four shell stone locations, and a boss guide on how to defeat the colored pencils.

Now listen, I haven’t played a Paper Mario game and Collin is handling this one for us, but colored pencils as a boss? Even Collin calls it, “one of the weirdest enemies in a Super Mario game.”

Winning the award for one of the weirdest enemies in a Super Mario game, the first major boss of Paper Mario: The Oragami King is a pack of Colored Pencils from the Legion of Stationary. Yes, really. This enemy will be the toughest foe you’ve faced yet, as it will test your on the fly puzzle-solving, along with your ability to quickly assess when and where to attack a target’s weak points. While the Colored Pencils may seem intimidating (a sentence I never thought I’d have to write), they have some pretty exploitable flaws that you can make use of with clever positioning.

For more information on The Origami King, head on over to the official Nintendo page where you can find videos, screenshots, and info on the game itself including game size. (Spoiler: It’s 6.5 GB, hope you have room)
