Get your sparkles ready because the League of Legends Star Guardian event is back with more skins, missions, and rewards for 2022. This year looks like the most packed Star Guardian event yet, with over 12 new Star Guardian skins, an in-client visual novel narrative, and a fresh anthem from Porter Robinson.

The Star Guardian skin line is one of Riot’s first forays into developing alternate universe lore for League. What started as cute cosmetics has blossomed over the years through short stories and illustrations, becoming a striking tale of cosmo warriors expelling the universe of darkness.

Star Guardian 2022 is a continuation of this story, and this time around there is a boatload of star-themed content to sift through. Star Guardian 2022 Skins

Ah, what everyone has been waiting for: the Star Guardian skins. A lot of the lineup is predictable, mostly focusing on League‘s younger women (à la mahō shōjo), but a few of these picks feel impossible to have anticipated. I’m looking at Fiddlesticks and then quickly looking away because he’s scary.

Along with these skins, players can expect summoner icons and chromas as well. Funds from many of the cosmetics will be donated to Riot Games Social Impact fund throughout the event.

“Star Guardian: Another Sky” is the name of this event’s narrative experience.
