ID@Xbox and Twitch Gaming teamed up today to show a whole bunch of indie games, which is great! Indie games absolutely need a spotlight wherever and whenever we can. If you watched it, you probably saw a bunch of interesting trailers for games that will provide you hours of fun. If you didn’t watch it, that’s also understandable, because it was four hours long.
That’s not to say indies don’t deserve that time, I’m just saying things shouldn’t be four hours long. That’s entirely too long for a thing to be. This isn’t a thinly-veiled criticism of a superhero movie some people are very dedicated to, I am actually only talking about this stream, which was FOUR HOURS LONG.
Okay. I got that out of my system. If you didn’t dedicate the four hours to the stream, here’s a brief rundown of what you missed.
- Twelve Minutes, the time-looping indie title recurrent at a number of trade shows and press conferences over the years, promises a 2021 date.
- Among Us teased their new map, the Airship, releasing next week on March 31.
- Moonglow Bay is a cozy little fishing game set in a voxelized Canada.
- Drinkbox Studios, developers of Guacamelee, revealed their shape-shifting RPG Nobody Saves the World.
- Astria Ascending is a new RPG from veterans of Nier Automata, Final Fantasy, and more.
- Rust: Console Edition lands on May 21.
- Devolver Digital’s Zelda-like Death’s Door is coming exclusively to Xbox in Summer 2021.
A whole buncha games are coming to Game Pass, such as:
- Art of the Rally
- Astria Ascending
- Backbone
- Boyfriend Dungeon
- Edge of Eternity
- Little Witch in the Woods
- Craftopia
- Sable
- Library of Ruina

All in all, if you’re an Xbox owner, there’s a lot of great indie stuff coming your way. If you’re also a Game Pass subscriber, there’s a lot of great indie stuff coming your way as part of your subscription, too.
