God of War: Ragnarok Collector's and Jotnar Edition Pricing, Where to Pre-Order

Kratos' latest is selling out fast. Here's where you can pre-order.

Last week, Sony and Santa Monica Studio announced the release date and special editions for God of War: Ragnarok, but failed to mention one very important detail: how much do the big boxes cost? Well, pre-orders are live now, and with those store listings come prices, and both the Collector’s Edition and and the Jötnar Edition are pretty steep.

As of this writing, you can still find God of War: Ragnarok’s special editions at some stores, though sold out at others. The Collector’s Edition, which includes, a steelbook, digital copy of the game, a Dwarven Dice Set, two Vanir Twins carved figures, and a 16-inch replica of Thor’s hammer Mjölnir, and costs $199.99. The Jötnar Edition contains all of the above, except the dice set is different. But it also has a few extras, such as the 7-inch vinyl record containing two songs from Ragnarok’s soundtrack, a pin set, a ring, and a cloth map. It will run you a hefty $259.99.

If you’re interested in either, here’s a few places you can find them, or check back to see if it’s back in stock if it’s sold out:

All that money and there’s no disc to go inside the steelbook. Still bought it, though, because I’m a clown with no self control.

God of War: Ragnarok is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 9. It’s the sequel to the 2018 God of War reboot, and will conclude the series’ Norse arc, which has protagonist Kratos and his son Atreus facing off against gods of Norse mythology. As you can probably guess by the inclusion of Thor’s hammer in the special editions, the god of thunder will play a big role in the game as one of its primary villains.
