Cor Lapis isn’t exactly a super rare resource in Genshin Impact. In fact, outside of your generic crystals, it’s the second most populated across the world of Teyvat. But you’re going to need a lot of it and some areas of the world are obviously better than others. In this guide we’ll help you find it quickly, highlight some places to farm it, and explain what uses it currently has.

Where to Find the Cor Lapis
If you’re looking to farm Cor Lapis, you’re going to want to be in Liyue. In particular, the western coast of Luhua Pool and the Cuijue Slope are chock full of Cor Lapis to harvest. Just take a claymore user and get swinging. It’ll take about three hits each to break them. There’s also a smattering of Cor Lapis between Lingju Pass and Mt. Tianheng, right next to Liyue Harbor.
The densest gathering of Cor Lapis is easily on Mt. Hulao, but you’ll need to put some effort into climbing around so it’s not the best place to go.
As of Patch 1.4 which comes out in a few days, Changshun in Liyue will also sell Cor Lapis. If they follow previous NPC vendors, there will be five stocked and each will set you back 1,000 Mora.
Remember, the grass will refresh around every two to three real-world days. Because of this, I recommend hitting all three areas. This will maximize your farm, reducing the amount of time spent waiting for them to respawn.

Cor Lapis Uses
The primary reason you want lots of Cor Lapis is for character ascension. Chongyun, Keqing, and Zhongli all use 168 Cor Lapis each which means you’ll need just over 500 of these to fully level each of them up. That said, it’s also used in alchemical recipes like Dustproof Potions, Unmoving Essential Oils, and Geoculus Resonance Stones.
Though there’s no real need to craft them, Cor Lapis is also an ingredient in Geo Treasure Compasses which will help you locate the closest chest to you. In fact, we don’t really recommend crafting anything from above. The potions just provide buffed Geo damage or increased Geo resistance and the Geoculus Resonance Stones function similarly to the Treasure Compasses. The only different is they’ll help you find the actual Geoculi to give to the statues. That’s hardly required, just use a map service like MapGenie which we reference above.
If you’re fans of those characters, we have dedicated build guides for both Chongyun and Zhongli. Spoiler: Zhongli is a bit of a weird one. Check back later for our thoughts on how to build Keqing!
