Far Cry 6 is the latest installment in this long-running FPS franchise and it has you assuming the role of a guerrilla fighter in the totally fictional country of Cuba Yara. Ruled by the vicious dictator Anton Castillo, players will burn, blast, and blow up the militaristic forces occupying this island. Just like previous games in this series, players will venture to various regions in Yara, taking down specific villains, acquiring new weapons, and fighting alongside the locals in typically zany quests. One returning feature are Treasure Hunts, formally called Prepper Stashes in Far Cry 5. These mini-puzzles will test players outside of just being able to sneak, stab, or shoot someone. While many are quite straightforward, one that is pretty tricky is “A Rising Tide” on the Vacia Coast.
A Rising Tide Treasure Hunt Walkthrough
For this Treasure Hunt, you will need to decipher the order of a 5 digit code to unlock a door. This is done by finding five boats hidden across the village, each of which is not only tied to a number but one of the guerrilla legends. Inside of the shack with the locked door, you’ll five find orange buttons, each with a name of a legend next to it. Your job is to press the buttons associated with the legends in ascending numerical order. Doing so will unlock the door, granting you access to the Unique Weapon inside.
Just in case the code order is different on repeat playthroughs, here’s where you can find each of the Legend boats. If you don’t care about where to find the boats, the button order can be found at the bottom of this guide.
El Tigre – 1
You can find El Tigre’s boat literally right outside of the house you need to unlock the door for. Beside the front of the boat, you’ll see a sign showing the number one.
Papi Chulo – 2
Papi Chulo’s is the only boat that actually doesn’t have a number card associated with it. However, through the process of elimination, we can determine that Papi Chulo’s boat is number two. This one can be found along the water near the broken dock. I do not recommend swimming since the water is filled with barracudas and sharks. Instead, there’s a zipline you can take from a rooftop to this broken portion of the dock.
El Lucky – 3
The next boat is El Lucky’s which can be found on the northeastern side of the village. Look for a bright green home with the overturned boat on top. Climbing up onto the roof will let you see the number sign next to the boat.
Clarita – 4
You can also find Clarita’s boat on the northwestern side of the village above the rotting, blue house. Just like El Lucky’s boat, climb onto the roof to find the number associated with this legend.
Rojo Victoria – 5
The final boat can be found underwater and is absolutely surrounded by sharks and barracuda. These are highly aggressive fish that will attack if you’re too close. Because of this, stand on the dock and just shoot enough of them to have some space to swim around. Now dive near the mast that’s sticking out of the water and you should see a red boat overturned on the seafloor. Near it is a sign that reads “>3.” What this means is the number associated with Rojo Victoria is greater than three. Since we already know four is Clarita, this only leaves number five as an option.
Door Code Button Order
Once you have the order, make your way back to the building with the locked door. Inside you will find five signs displaying the Legend’s names, each of which is next to an orange button. You need to hit the five orange buttons in order to unlock the door. The order for the code is El Tigre, Papi Chulo, El Lucky, Clarita, and Rojo Victoria. The picture above shows where each of the buttons is located and their number in the sequence. After entering the last number the door will unlock and you can nab all the goodies inside. See, the wasn’t so bad!
