Fallout 76 Purveyor Guide - Purveyor Location & What She Sells

There is a lot of gear you can horde, wear, and use in Bethesda’s Fallout 76. While most of it is junk that you will either turn into scrap or toss aside eventually, other items might be worth holding onto. Typically these are Legendary tier items, which are weapons or armor that posses extra passive bonuses such as enhanced damage. Highly sought after by players, Legendary items are fairly rare to come by early on since you’ll just be battling low-level foes. However, once you are capable of launching nukes and participating in endgame events then you’ll want to start visiting the Purveyor Legendary vendor.

Fallout 76 Purveyor Location

Purveyor Location

This Mole Miner is a vendor that was introduced in the Wild Appalachia add-on. She exclusively sells Legendary gear for Scrip, which is a special currency only this vendor takes. Located at The Rusty Pick in southern Appalachia, the Purveyor is quite easy to find. Unfortunately, the journey to actually visiting her can be difficult for newcomers. While the southern portion of Appalachia isn’t too brutal, there are some fairly dangerous monsters that roam around the ruins.

You’ll know when you reached her shop thanks to the big neon side and line of instruments outside. Once inside, you can speak with Purveyor who is standing behind the counter. From here, you can purchase a random Legendary armor, ranged weapon, or melee weapon along with Legendary mods and Vault Steel Scrap. The higher the star count, the more passive abilities that item will inherit. What you get is completely random, so be careful with what you decide to purchase. Finally, all of the items can only be bought with Legendary Scrip, which is a special currency tied to the Purveyor.

How to Get Legendary Scrip

To get Legendary Scrip, you need to use the Legendary Exchange vending machines peppered throughout Appalachia. Usually, these machines are next to other vendors at the various railroad stations, so make sure any Legendaries you don’t want are stored in your stash. This will make them easily accessible when you want to convert them into scrip. Remember, this machine cannot be built by players so you will need to go out of your way to find it.

Once you find a Legendary Exchange, just interact with it to open up a new menu. On the left will be all your Legendary items and the right side should be blank. Now just select the piece of gear you don’t want and it will be moved to the right side and you’ll be given some scrips. If you accidentally sell the wrong item don’t worry, you can just select it on the right and purchase it for the number of scrips you were given. Scrip cannot be traded between players and you can only hold 1,000 at a time.

You can also earn some Legendary Scrip by completing quests tied to the Nuclear Winter expansion or by finishing Daily Quests. Because of this, we suggest you start adding Daily Quests to your to-do list whenever you log on, as they can serve as a nice way to supplement your income whenever you’re unwilling to part with a Legendary tier item.
