The Division 2 Exotic Holster Talents
The Dodge City Gunslinger exotic holster has three talents, which all revolve around your sidearm pistol.
The Sleight of Hand talent gives you the following bonuses when a pistol is equipped:
- +20% Accuracy
- +20% Stability
- +40% Reload Speed
- +400% Optimal Range
- +20% Revolver Damage
The Quick Draw talent reloads all your weapons when you swap to your pistol.
The Perforator talent allows pistol shots to penetrate enemies. Also, pistol headshot kills grant +20% weapon damage across the board for eight seconds, and make shots from your primary and secondary weapons penetrate enemies during that period. Kills with a revolver increase the time to 11 seconds.
How to Unlock the Division 2’s Exotic Holster — Step 1
Speak to the blueprint vendor at the White House. She’s next to your crafting station. Purchase Holster Intel: Go West, Young Agent from the list. Then, you need to head to the Riverside Gas Station control point, on the far west of the map, as shown below. Take over the control point—it can be at any level—and grab the Fast Leather Belt component from your cache of rewards.
Step 2: Find Three Other Components
After turning in the Fast Leather Belt for your project, you’re asked to collect three more components. To get each, you must capture three Level 4 control points—one controlled by Outcasts, one by True Sons, and one by Hyenas. They can be any control points owned by these factions, but they must be upgraded to Level 4 first by completing linked activities.
You’ll know you’ve done it right because the named elite enemy on the final wave of the control points will be wearing a cowboy hat. Clear that last wave and you’ll be given your component reward. You will need to acquire the Ornate Leather Holster, Inverted Leather Holster, and Oiled Hammer Guards. Each of these can be obtained by completing a level 4 Hyena, True Sons, and Outcast control point. Which faction you tackle is up to you, as they each have a chance to reward one of these parts.
Return to the White House to turn in the components.
Step 3: It’s High Noon
Once you’ve turned in the components, you’ll get one last project, called Showdown at High Noon Saloon. To complete the project, you need to go to a bar just to the east of the White House, on the border with Downtown East. You’ll also find the location it on the project objective list.
You have to show up at 12 pm (in-game time) for a group of Black Tusk enemies will spawn. It’s not clear how late you can afford to show up, but if you’re there in the early afternoon in-game then you should be fine. You can check the time by entering photo mode from your main menu.
Kill all the Black Tusk enemies, including one named enemy, to get the Holster: Rind component. Additionally, you will need one Providence and one Petrov holster which are typically sold by vendors. You may need to purchase the blueprint first to actually craft these two items.
Step 4: Craft the Dodge City Gunslinger Exotic Holster
Now all that’s left it to craft the holster. Return to the White House, turn in your active project and you’ll get four parts you need alongside a blueprint for the Dodge City Gunslinger exotic holster.
Congratulations—enjoy your first exotic armor piece!
