Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted is here, and it’s the spookiest addition yet. With the return of Emperor Calus’ mighty Leviathan, players are tasked with venturing into this massive ship to deduce what has happened to this corrupted vessel. Along with the new Nightmare Containment activity, players can earn new weapons, armor, and cosmetics for your Guardian.
Along with all these new changes, the competitive PVP mode Iron Banner also got a substantial overhaul. Done are the endless bounties and now players can earn a reputation similar to the other vendors. There’s also a new, short quest for users to complete. However, this quest has led to some confusion as it asks players to complete a “daily challenge” but doesn’t appear to display what the challenge is in the quest. Thankfully, the daily quest is pretty simple, even if the wording is a bit weird.
How to Complete Daily Challenges
To find your Daily Challenges, go to the Crucible menu on your map and move your cursor over the Iron Banner icon. You will see the challenge shown above the Pinnacle Gear icon. For this week, you will need to complete three matches with either a Solar or Void subclasses equipped. Despite saying “Weekly,” completing this challenge will progress the quest and move you to the next step. I have completed the Weekly Challenge and can confirm this does count as the daily challenge listed in the quest.
Along with this quest, I recommend throwing on any Iron Banner or Iron Banner armor ornaments you might have. These will increase the amount of reputation you gain with Lord Saladin, making it much easier to unlock all the rewards he offers. Additionally, equipping an Iron Banner emblem will also increase the amount of reputation you earn. Because of this, you should always try to rock as much Iron Banner cosmetics as possible – especially if you are trying to max out your vendor rank with Saladin.
The game mode this week is Rift, which has two teams of six battling it out over the Spark. This glowing orb of light will spawn in the middle of the map and can be snagged by any player. Once you have it, you will need to run to the opposing team’s goal and dunk it into their receptacle. Doing so will earn your team a point and reset the spark.
