If you’re looking for more help with Destiny 2, we have guides covering how to unlock the Solar 3.0 fragments and grenades, how to get the new Jotunn catalyst, how to farm Vestiges of Dread and Opulent Umbral Energy, all Exotics, new weapon Patterns, seasonal mods, and Season of the Haunted triumphs. In addition, we’re covering all patch notes, bugs and top issues, Bound in Sorrow quest steps, and Calus Bobbleheads. We’ve covered how to get Opulent Keys, Bound Presence in Containment, Crown of Sorrow H.E.L.M. upgrades, Iron Banner Seal Triumphs, and the Trespasser Catalyst. And lastly, we’ve written on how to find a Loyalist Commander for Battles Lines Triumph and the Cek’ik Boss.
There are a lot of emblems in Destiny 2, but some of them aren’t signposted very well. For instance, there’s a promotion on this month where you can get an emblem called “Terminal Velocity,” but you wouldn’t know it unless someone told you. Similarly, there’s another emblem available through the Bungie Rewards program this season called “Interconnected” that you might miss out on if you don’t regularly check that site.
To get the Interconnected emblem in Destiny 2, all you have to do is complete all of the week one Seasonal Challenges and then claim the code from Bungie Rewards. It’s a little weird that this kind of thing still isn’t fully integrated into the game, forcing players to log onto Bungie’s site to periodically check for rewards they might have missed, but what are you going to do. You have all season to complete the first week of challenges. Whether it’s worth completing all of the challenges is an open question, since it requires you to play a lot of different activities you might not otherwise, but the first week isn’t too bad. Here are the challenges you’ll need to complete to get the emblem:
- Sorrow Bound I: Complete Bound in Sorrow I and defeat 50 Scorn Chieftains
- Nightmare Containment I: Complete 25 tiers of the Nightmare Containment activity
- Vestiges of Dread I: Collect 1500 Vestiges of Dread and pick up 20 materials on the Derelict Leviathan
- Sustained Fire: Defeat 200 combatants on the Derelict Leviathan with Trace or Auto Rifles, and defeat 30 combatants with Solar damage in any Sever activity
- Derelict Leviathan Activities: Complete bounties, patrols, and public events on the Derelict Leviathan
- Taking All Challenges: Complete three weekly playlist challenges
- Mid-Range Calibration: Defeat 200 combatants on the Derelict Leviathan with Hand Cannons, Glaives, Auto Rifles, Fusion Rifles, and/or Machine Guns
- Dredgin’ Up Victory: Complete Gambit matches, with wins granting more progress
- Momentum Crash: Defeat Guardians in Momentum Control, with bonus progress while you have Zone Advantage
- Scorn Pest Control: Defeat Scorn in Vanguard playlists or on the Derelict Leviathan
All of these can be done at any time during the season, except, of course the Momentum Crash challenge — for which you’ll need Momentum Control to be the featuring Crucible mode. Oh, and Momentum Control is a great way to knock out the kills with weapons like bows and sidearms for the Deadeye seal, as well as Exotic catalysts that require Crucible kills, like Jade Rabbit.
Even if you hate playing Gambit and/or Crucible in Destiny 2, this shouldn’t be too bad if you want the Interconnected emblem. I think I’m going to stick with Terminal Velocity right now, but it’s nice to have options!
