Genshin Impact is all about increasing your party’s power so you can progress through the story and slay more dangerous monsters. Similar to other adventure games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, players will need to harvest resources to not only buff their gear but give them additional bonuses. One such item is the Flaming Flower Stamen, which is predominantly located in the southern region of Genshin Impact’s world. Used in crafting, this item revolves solely around Pyro-based buffs or debuffs. Here’s where to find the Flaming Flower Stamen, how to harvest it, and what items it’s currently used for.
Where to Find the Flaming Flower Stamen
If you are looking to farm Flaming Flower Stamen, it’s predominantly located in the Liyue region. You can find this flower in portions of southern Mondstadt; specifically the Dihua Marsh, around Mingyun Village, and at the peak of Cape Oath. These are the only places in Mondstadt this flower grows, but you shouldn’t need to invest any time hunting it down if you’re just starting. Once you get into Liyue, this flower is virtually everywhere in every major portion of the map. That being said, it’s more concentrated in the mountains to the north, so make sure you have upgraded your stamina skill so you don’t run into any traversal issues.

If you’re going to farm them, just pull up this map and your in-game map at the same time. Now just place waypoints where the flowers are on your map, so you always have their location marked even if you quit for the day.

Flaming Flower Stamen Use & Harvesting
At the time of writing this, Flaming Flower Stamen is used in the creation of Heatshield Potions and Flaming Essence Oil. The former increases your entire party’s resistance to Pyro-based attacks by 25% for 300 seconds while the latter boosts your party’s Pyro damage by 25% for 300 seconds. Both of these are supremely useful, all be it a little situational. Even though you’ll come across quite a lot of Pyro enemies, most won’t require that dramatic of a buff to your party.
That being said, I suggest making three of each of these, just to have them in your inventory. This will give you access to these buffs should the need arise, without having to commit a lot of time to farming Flaming Flower Stamens. Both of these can be crafted at alchemy tables in various towns throughout the world.
Here are the complete recipes for both of these items:
- Heatshield Potion – 1 Flaming Flower Stamen, 1 Frog
- Flaming Essence Oil – 1 Flaming Flower Stamen, 1 Frog
To actually harvest these flowers, you will need a party with an Ice or Hydro ability. Once you cast your skill in the general area on and around the flower, the fires will extinguish allowing you to harvest it. This is the only way to obtain them, so make sure you have a party member who can use Hydro or Ice skills. It doesn’t matter what level they are, so just swap to them when you need to grab the flower before returning to one of your more potent characters.
