Destiny 2 Legendary Shards Glitch: How to Get Infinite Legendary Shards

Woohool.

At long last, Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted has arrived. As expected, there’s a whole new seasonal quest to follow through, as well as new armor sets, weapons, and a haunting atmosphere in every corner. Considering how much is there to unpack, from Solar 3.0 to yet another list of weapon ornaments, we’re diving into all things Destiny 2. This guide focuses on a Destiny 2 Legendary Shards glitch where you can get an infinite amount by following a few simple steps.

Destiny 2 Legendary Shards Glitch – How to Get Infinite Legendary Shards and Gunsmith Ranks

Running low on Legendary Shards? There is a solution for that. YouTube user David discovered a glitch earlier today where, thanks to the help of Master Rahool in the Tower and some Glimmer, you basically end up having an infinite source of Legendary Shards.

You can find the steps to get infinite Legendary Shards in Destiny 2 below:

  • First, you’re going to need Glimmer. If you don’t have them and want a quick method, you can purchase Baryon Bough (1 Legendary Shard = 5 Baryon Bough) and then trade them for 10,000 Glimmer (costs 20 Baryon Bough)
  • Then, head to your Collections. In the Armor tab, search for the Leveling category near the bottom of the list, and purchase any parts of the Midnight Oil Suit (Titan), Gumshoe Gumption Suit (Hunter), or Inspector’s Suit (Warlock) sets
  • Buy as many as you can, and then dismantle them
  • Repeat the process over and over to get a batch of Legendary Shards each time
  • If you’re at least rank 20 in the battle pass, you’re going to increase the number of Legendary Shards per dismantle even further, so keep that in mind in case you’re close

Honestly, this is a super interesting glitch, and one that I’d suspect won’t last for long before it’s addressed, so go ahead and get on it. It’s also a good method to level up Gunsmith ranks.

Alongside Legendary Shards, you also have the chance to get Finest Matterweave at random. You can then use this consumable so defeated bosses have a chance of dropping an Enhancement Core.

In addition, don’t forget about the benefits of having tons of Legendary Shards to spend. You can purchase Enhancement Cores, Enhancement Prisms, and most importantly Ascendant Alloy, which is used in weapon crafting. This glitch is going to save you tons of time. It’s not super quick, but it’s extremely effective, so get on it before Bungie reads this. At the very least, I’m glad that they’re busy with the dungeon launch today.
