Bungie announced several key Quality of Life (QOL) changes for Season 22 in Destiny 2’s latest State of the Game blog. These are small, but helpful changes that impact everyday interactions with the game, and changes to Stasis Aspects and Fragments stand out.
In Season 22, players who have completed the Destiny 2: Beyond Light’s campaign can acquire Stasis Aspects and Fragments with Glimmer from Elsie Bray on Europa, just like they would do so for Light subclass 3.0 Aspects and Fragments from Ikora.
This is a significant update for players unlocking the Stasis subclass. Before this change, it would take weeks of grinding out these quests in ritual playlists like Vanguard, Crucible and Gambit, to unlock all Fragments because there was a limit of two quests a week. These quests often had players spend more time playing playlist activities than what the Pinnacle rewards require. However, Bungie hasn’t clarified if modifying the way players unlock this subclass will take away the Born in Darkness quest steps that give you different Stasis grenades.
This update has been long overdue and it’s great news for new players experiencing Beyond Light. Also, players who have been around for a long time don’t need to continue grinding for additional Stasis Fragments.
Some other QOL changes include Transmats being permanently unlocked for ships to swap around like you would with Shaders. Also, the Resources tab in Collections will show all currencies, the Destiny 2: Forsaken‘s Wish-ender quest will get an update, and lastly, challenges for pinnacle rewards and XP boosts will be separate in Iron Banner going forward.
