Looking for more Lost Ark Gold? Don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to farm it. You could maintain a reliable source of Gold income by doing your dungeons, get a mountain of the stuff by finding certain collectibles, and taking a visit to the Auction House.
Of course, some activities are far better methods of making money than others. To help you find them, here’s an overview of the best ways to earn Gold in Lost Ark. We’ll start with the repeatable activities, before moving on to the best one-time Gold sources, and finish things off by making some recommendations for taking advantage of the player economy.
Gold in Lost Ark – How Does it Work?
Gold is far from the only currency in Lost Ark, but it’s one that’s highly sought-after. Your Gold is shared between your characters and often used to get Crystals, perform a knowledge transfer, or buy things from the Auction House.
Before we say anything, you may have noticed that Gold can be exchanged for Silver by a Gold Merchant. However, this is usually a very bad way to spend it, as Silver is far easier to obtain. So unless you’re an exceedingly rich Lost Ark player, don’t do that.
Of course, you could just buy Gold with real-world money using the Royal Crystal exchange in the Shop. That’s probably not why you’re here though, so let’s have a look at the best F2P ways to earn Gold instead.
Best Ways to Get Gold in Lost Ark – Daily and Weekly Activities
Here’s an overview of the regular activities you should do to maintain a stable Gold income:
- Abyssal Dungeons or Raids. Every Dungeon or Raid has a chance to drop Gold.
- Currently, we are looking at one hundred to several hundred Gold per Dungeon (depending on level).
- You can only get the reward once per week for each character. In other words, those with alt characters should definitely use them for additional Gold rewards.
- Una’s Tasks.
- A Daily Task is awarded with two points, and a Weekly Task rewards 12 points. You need 25 points to get your first 30 Tokens of the week.
- Once you have at least 80 Tokens, you can visit the Gold Merchant to exchange your Tokens for a few hundred Gold.
- Note that you have the chance (no guarantees) to obtain a Thin Gold Bar (100 Gold), Thick Gold Bar (1,000 Gold), or Giant Gold Bar (10,000 Gold) as well.
- Chaos Gates. Use Procyon’s Compass to find one.
- Doesn’t award Gold directly, but after completion, participants can bid on a Legendary Map. If you win, you can use it or sell it for a high Gold price at the Auction House. Using it will probably reward you with the most Gold though.
- If someone else wins the auction, no worries: their Gold is distributed equally between the other players. This can be anything from 50 to 100+ Gold.
- Adventure Islands. Adventure Islands occasionally award Gold. Use Procyon’s Compass to see what Islands and rewards are coming up.
Best Ways to Get Gold in Lost Ark – One-Time Activities
Some of the game’s one-time activities can get you a massive amount of Gold at once, but it’ll take more time:
- Quests. Some quests award Gold, some do not. Check the Journal to see the rewards.
- Building Rapport. Lots of Rapport NPCs offer Gold rewards for reaching new friendship levels. To see which NPCs are worthy of your dance performances and gifts, click on their profiles in the Rapport menu.
- The further you progress through the game, the more Gold offered by new Rapport NPCs. The ones in Punika offer thousands of Gold, while the ones in Rethramis and Luterra are negligible.
- One of the best Rapport NPCs is Mia in Punika: she gives you 14,000 Gold upon reaching the “amicable” friendship level.
- Collecting 38 Masterpieces. Get this collectible by completing your Adventurer’s Tome, Sea Bounties, Island Token collections, etc. True, it’s going to take effort, but the full collection is good for 29,000 Gold. Here’s how many Masterpieces you need for the rewards:
- 20 Masterpieces: 3,000 Gold.
- 30 Masterpieces: 5,000 Gold.
- 34 Masterpieces: 8,000 Gold.
- 38 Masterpieces: 13,000 Gold
What to Sell at the Auction House?
Finally, a great way to earn Gold in Lost Ark is by selling items at the Auction House. Unfortunately for newer players, your items won’t fetch the massive amounts of Gold as seen in the first few weeks after the game’s release, but it’s still a good way to earn passive income.
The number one rule: check the current listings before selling anything; you don’t want to go below market price! To give you an idea of what to focus on, these items are always in demand:
- Enhancement Materials. Players need them to increase item levels. Naturally, make sure you don’t need them yourself!
- Ability Stones. You’ll get heaps of the stuff from Chaos Dungeons, but it’s important to spot the most valuable Engravings (like Grudge or Cursed Doll) before you list them.
- Gems. A high-level Gem can sell for thousands of Gold, especially if it’s paired with a popular class.
- Adventurer’s Tome collectibles. They’re needed to complete continent achievements. Getting Rethramis to 100% is good for many rewards, but many players don’t want to spend their time hoping for the collectibles to drop. So if you have any spare ones, sell them!
- Any rare skin, mount, or pet. In case you have any and you’re willing to part with it, this can be your one-way ticket to massive Lost Ark wealth.
Of course, it’s possible to buy and resell items too. You can flip them for profit by buying low and selling high. You need to have a good understanding of Lost Ark’s market though, so only do that if you’re confident that you can resell the item for a higher price.
The Best Way to Make Gold in Lost Ark
In summary, the best way to make Gold is by simply playing the game, increasing your item level, and running the best Abyssal Dungeons and Raids. If you’re truly dedicated to maximizing your Gold harvest, create alts until you have six characters in total.
