Tighnari Kit & Skills
As is to be expected of Genshin Impact’s first 5-Star Dendro character, Tighnari’s combat role is that of a specialized Dendro DPS. Although his base Attack and multipliers are on the lower side, he has a Dendro damage Ascension stat and two Elemental Mastery-based attack boosts to make up for it. His primary purpose is to trigger Elemental Reactions using his Charged Attack, Elemental Skill, and Burst.
In terms of attack order, try to use the Elemental Skill right before the Wreath Arrows to decrease their charge time. The Wreath Arrows will then boost Tighnari’s Elemental Mastery, which is a great setup for the Elemental Burst.
After using the Charged Attack, you may notice that the first charge level deals more direct damage than the second one. However, if we take the Clusterbloom Arrow damage into account, the fully charged Wreath Arrow is by far the most powerful. Therefore, if you decide to make Tighnari a Main DPS, the Wreath Arrows are his most important ability.
Khanda Barrier Buster (Normal Attack)
- Normal Attack: Performs up to four consecutive shots.
- Charged Attack: Uses stamina to perform a more precise Aimed Shot. This Attack has two different charge levels:
- Charge Level 1: Fires an arrow infused with Dendro.
- Charge Level 2: Fires a Wreath Arrow. Upon hit, the Wreath Arrow creates four Clusterbloom Arrows that automatically track nearby enemies, dealing additional Dendro damage.
- Plunging Attack: Deals AoE damage on impact.
Vijnana-Phala Mine (Elemental Skill)
- Throws a Vijnana Stormheart that deals AoE Dendro damage.
- After the throw, this attack leaves a Dendro field with illusions that taunt opponents.
- Tighnari also gains the Vijnana Penetrator effect, decreasing the next Wreath Arrow charge time by 2.4 seconds. This effect lasts until Tighnari fires three Wreath Arrows or until the Skill ends.
Fashioner’s Tanglevine Shaft (Elemental Burst)
- Fires six Tanglevine Shafts that track opponents and deal Dendro damage.
- After they hit, the Tanglevine Shafts perform a second wave, tracking opponents again and dealing even more Dendro damage.
Keen Sight (Passive 1) – Ascension 1
After firing a Wreath Arrow, Tighnari’s Elemental Mastery increases by 50 for a duration of four seconds.
Scholarly Blade (Passive 2) – Ascension 4
Tighnari’s Charged Attack and Elemental Burst damage are increased by 0.06% for every point of Elemental Mastery he possesses. The maximum damage bonus obtainable this way is 60%.
Encyclopedic Knowledge (Passive 3) – Unlocked
Displays the location of Sumeru local specialties on the mini map.
Best Tighnari Build
Weapon Options
There are plenty of great Bows for Tighnari. As a main stat, Critical Rate or Critical Damage is usually the best choice, with Attack or Elemental Mastery as the next best thing. As Tighnari will release alongside a 5-Star signature weapon, we already know the perfect fit: Hunter’s Path.
If you’re looking for another 5-Star option, Aqua Simulacra is great due to its massive Critical Damage boost. Although the HP bonus isn’t that useful, this weapon also grants you a passive damage increase of up to 40 percent. Alternatively, Amos’ Bow is perfectly in sync with Tighnari’s focus on Charged Attacks.
Luckily, there are plenty of Critical-boosting options in the 3- and 4-Star ranks as well. Viridescent Hunt is recommended because of the Critical Rate and Charged Attack-based bonus damage. If you’re able to get enough critical from Artifacts, consider using The Stringless for its Elemental Mastery, Elemental Skill, and Burst bonus. Note that a weapon like Viridescent Hunt is better for a Main DPS Tighnari build, while The Stringless is perfect for a Sub DPS Tighnari (swapping in and out for his Skill and Burst).
- Hunter’s Path (5-Star) – Increases Critical Rate as a secondary stat. Also grants an Elemental damage bonus of 24% at max refinement. When the wearer hits an opponent with a Charged Attack, Charged Attack damage is increased by 160% of Elemental Mastery. This effect is removed after twelve Charged Attacks or ten seconds. The effect can be triggered once every 12 seconds.
- Aqua Simulacra (5-Star) – Increases Critical Damage as a secondary stat. Also offers an HP bonus of up to 32% and increases the damage dealt by this weapon up to a maximum of 40% when enemies are nearby. This effect also works while the wearer is not on the battlefield.
- Amos’ Bow (5-Star) – Increases Attack. This Bow’s passive ability increases both Normal and Charged Attack damage by 12-24%. Firing a Normal or Charged shot adds another 8-16% damage for every 0.1 seconds that the arrow remains in the air (up to five times).
- Viridescent Hunt (4-Star) – Increases Critical Rate. Upon hit, Normal and Charged shots have a 50% chance to generate a cyclone that will attract enemies and deal up to 80% Attack Damage (every half second for a duration of four seconds). This effect may occur once every 14 seconds.
- The Stringless (4-Star) – Has Elemental Mastery as its secondary stat. Also increases Elemental Skill and Burst damage by up to 48%.
Best Tighnari Artifacts
Great news: you can finally use your Wanderer’s Troupe Artifact set! Since Tighnari scales with Elemental Mastery and heavily relies on Charged Attacks, it’s a perfect fit. Alternatively, the upcoming Gilded Dreams set offers a massive Elemental Mastery bonus if Tighnari teams up with different Elements.
As the full Gilded Dreams set offers a higher bonus than a 2-piece combo with Wanderer’s Troupe, it’s best to go for one or the other. Memories of the Deep Forest can work as well, but the 4-piece’s Dendro Support ability seems a bit wasted on DPS character Tighnari. We recommend saving it for 4-Star Dendro character Collei instead.
As for the main stats, prioritize Critical Rate or Critical Damage on the Circlet slot. The other slots should be Attack, Dendro, or Elemental Mastery. If you already have a high Elemental Mastery thanks to the Gilded Dreams set or a weapon, it’s probably best to prioritize Dendro. If you’re using Memories, go for Elemental Mastery.
- Gilded Dreams – (2) Elemental Mastery is increased by 80. (4) For a duration of eight seconds after triggering an Elemental Reaction, the wearer receives buffs based on the Elemental types present in the party. For every Element that is similar to the wearer’s, Attack is increased by 14%. For every ally whose Element is different, Elemental Mastery is increased by 50. The effect can be triggered once every eight seconds, even when the wearer is off-field.
- Wanderer’s Troupe – (2) Elemental Mastery is increased by 80. (4) Increases Charged Attack damage by 35% if the character uses a Catalyst or Bow.
- Memories of the Deep Forest – (2) +15% Dendro damage bonus. (4) When an enemy receives Elemental damage, their Dendro resistance is reduced by 25% for eight seconds. This effect can trigger while the wearer is off-field.
Best Team for Tighnari
Keep one important thing in mind while choosing your Tighnari team: this character’s strength comes from his ability to trigger Elemental Reactions. One thing we definitely want is a matching Elemental Sub DPS to set up those Reactions.
We don’t know all the ins and outs of Dendro Reactions yet, of course. However, we do know that Dendro and Electro can debuff enemies and increase their damage taken. An example of a top tier Tighnari team would therefore be: Sub DPS Yae Miko (Electro), Sub DPS and Support Collei (Dendro), and any strong shield provider or healer. For additional Energy Recharge, try Raiden Shogun or Fischl.
Ideally, Tighnari is teamed up with a Dendro colleague wearing the full Memories of the Deep Forest Artifact set for reduced enemy Dendro Resistance. As the only 4-Star Dendro to release alongside Tighnari, Collei is currently the number one choice.

Tighnari Constellations
If you have heaps of Primogems to spare, Tighnari’s Constellation upgrades are very good. They all strengthen Tighnari’s Charged Attack, Dendro damage, and Elemental Mastery, making him an even stronger Dendro DPS. Do keep in mind that Tighnari will receive a signature weapon, which also costs Primogems. It’s usually better to spend your Primogems on the perfect weapon rather than Constellations.
- Level 1 – Beginnings Determined at the Roots: Charged Attack Critical Rate is increased by 15%.
- Level 2 – Origins Known from the Stem: When opponents are inside the Dendro field created by the Elemental Skill, Tighnari gains a 20% Dendro damage bonus. This effect lasts for six seconds, unless the field’s duration ends sooner or the opponents leave the field.
- Level 3 – Fortunes Read Among the Branches: Increases the Elemental Burst level by three (maximum upgrade is 15).
- Level 4 – Withering Glimpsed in the Leaves: After using the Elemental Burst, all nearby party members gain 60 Elemental Mastery for eight seconds. If the Burst triggers a Burning, Bloom, Aggravate, or Spread Reaction, nearby party members gain an additional 60 Elemental Mastery. This will also reset the duration.
- Level 5 – Comprehension Amidst the Flowers: Increases Elemental Skill level by three (maximum upgrade is 15).
- Level 6 – Karma Adjudged from the Leaden Fruit: Wreath Arrow’s charge time is reduced by 0.9 seconds and will produce and additional Clusterbloom Arrow upon hit, dealing 150% of Tighnari’s Attack.
