Genshin Impact Silent Seeker of Knowledge Guide - Courtyard Far Down the Corridor Puzzle

Having trouble figuring out what you're supposed to be doing in the Silent Seeker of Knowledge quest?

Genshin Impact’s 3.0 Sumeru update is out, and the Silent Seeker of Knowledge quest is one of the very first encounters in your Sumeru foray. A part of the quest asks you to check out the courtyard down the corridor, but you’ll soon realize that while the courtyard is visible, there’s no obvious way to get to it. If you can’t quite figure out what to do, we’ve put together this guide for finishing the Silent Seeker of Knowledge quest which asks you to visit the courtyard far down the corridor.

On the right-hand side of the room towards the front, there’s a suspicious bright light on the floor. Standing on it doesn’t do anything, however that light is important… It positions you in view of two marks on two different rocks in the courtyard. What you need to do next is to position the camera so that the two marks align together to form a single image.

On mobile, that means using your fingers to rotate the camera around or zooming in andout. You know you have succeeded when the screen gets a violet tint and goes slightly fuzzy. Then the door on the opposite side of the room will then unlock, and you can proceed down the corridor.

This puzzle can be confusing due to the bright light on the floor often used to indicate that a player needs to stop there for a quest to get activated. Silent Seeker of Knowledge is part of the Archon Quest Chapter III: Act I – Through Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark, which is initiated after the Traveler tries to awaken Hapaysia, but instead finds themselves wandering through a dreamscape.

At this point in the story, the Traveler has just met Tighnari and Collei, the first two playable Dendro characters. You can check out our Tighnari and Collei guides for builds, artifacts, and teams that best suit them. Collei will also be offered for free to players who have unlocked Sumeru, and we’ll have a guide shortly up for that as well.

Collei is like a Dendro version of Amber, but upgraded. Her exploding doll, Cuilein-Anbar, leaves a Dendro field behind and causes additional AoE damage for every bounce. Tighnari is a Dendro DPS who can output lots of Dendro attacks, making him perfect for teams with plenty of elemental reactions.

The second banner alongside Tighnari’s is Zhongli, the Geo Archon. He’s a great shielder who can make sure you never have to dodge ever again. We also have a guide to Zhongli’s abilities and best team comp for interested players to check out. He shines as a support and it’s recommended to stack as much HP as you can in artifacts since his shield’s damage absorption scales on HP.
