If you’re experienced with Genshin Impact, chances are you already know exactly why you’re looking for Amakumo Fruit. For those of you who don’t, it’s one of the many materials you need to collect in order to make your characters stronger and stronger. Used in Raiden Shogun’s (aka Baal’s) ascension, this item is absolutely crucial for anyone who wants to use her in their party. Here’s where to find Amakumo Fruit, how to harvest it, and what items it’s currently used for.

Where to Find Amakumo Fruit
If you are looking to farm Amakumo Fruit you’ll have to leave the shores of the mainland. As it stands, the only place to find these plants are on the islands of Inazuma. The local material can be found around the Seirai Islands with the largest cluster on the island of Amakumo Peak. Gathering all of these alone will net you a large percentage of all the available nodes. There are a small number of fruit on the other islands around the peak as well.
There are 109 Amakumo Fruit on the main island with an additional 17 nearby. Gathering all of those would be checking every single node on the map, leaving you with 126 per refresh. How quickly you accrue the resource ultimately depends on how much time you’re willing to spend getting the harder to reach nodes.
As of right now, no shops sell Amakumo Fruit. That’s particularly unusual considering just about every other local specialty has at least one person selling a bundle of five to help speed things up.
Remember, the fruit will respawn around every two to three real-world days. Because of this, I recommend hitting both areas areas. This will maximize your farm, reducing the amount of time spent waiting for them to refresh.
Amakumo Fruit Uses
At the time of writing this, Amakumo Fruit is only used for character ascensions. Right now only Raiden Shogun/Baal uses them. We have not discovered any recipes that call for Amakumo Fruit as of yet.
It takes 168 Amakumo Fruit to reach Ascension 6 for a single character, so I recommend you start farming early. Even if you don’t have Baal right now, there’s always a chance you could pick her up in a future banner. It’s also a safe bet that miHoYo will release more characters that need this material so it doesn’t hurt to gather some now.
