Where to Find the Bray Exoscience Chest in Destiny 2 Beyond Light

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is finally here after months and months of waiting. Acting as the next major chapter in this FPS/RPG hybrid, players will embark on a journey to Europa to battle against a Fallen leader called Eramis and learn more about the true nature of the Darkness. This expansion includes new characters, missions, endgame activities, a subclass, exotics, and enemy types. Unsurprisingly, Beyond Light has a bunch of secrets and side quests for players to complete.

One of these is to unlock the full set of Europa armor that has been heavily featured in the trailers and marketing material. You will get this quest after meeting with Variks, who will task you with opening a chest in the Braytech Exoscience location.

Braytech Exoscience Chest Location

From Varik’s little home, take the northern left pass until you reach Cadmus Ridge. Ignore the enemies here and go to the left towards the Braytech Exoscience area. Once inside the building, progress until you reach the lobby where you should see a piece of the pyramid ships hovering. This may only appear during the campaign and you’ll require Stasis powers to open the chest. Because of this, you will want to ignore this step of the quest for now and only go for it once you have a mission in Braytech Exoscience. To get to this campaign step, it took a little over an hour without any server interference.

When you arrive in the large lobby, go up the stairs to your right and inside the room overlooking the lobby you should see the chest. It’s possible that these randomly spawn, so another chest location is further into the building in a small room right before you head down the hallway that leads towards the icy cliffs. Opening the chest will award you with a piece of Aged Armor and the quest will tell you to visit Variks. Since the servers are very laggy right now, mine took a couple of minutes to appear after I opened the chest. Once you have the Aged Armor, return to Variks to obtain your piece of gear and progress the quest. You will keep finding chests in different areas, each one unlocking another piece of armor.

More Destiny 2: Beyond Light:

I recommend doing this quest before you hit the soft cap. They are not Powerful tier rewards, but they will give you a nice boost in power. Given how strong enemies are in Beyond Light, you’ll want every advantage you can muster. My boots also had a low 50s roll, so I don’t expect these to drop with high base stats right away. This is more than likely a set you’ll need to farm if you want them with 60+ base stats.
