New Details About the 8-Player Raid and Alliance Raid in FFXIV Dawntrail Revealed

Who is ready to go through hundreds of wipes?

The Final Fantasy XIV Tokyo Fan Fest 2024 brought a bunch of new information about what is coming with Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail. Among the new pieces of information they shared this time are The Arcadion, the new eight-player raid, and Echoes of Vana’diel, the new Alliance raid.

Dawntrail is not only taking the Warrior of Light to a new continent. In addition to coming with its own set of new raids and dungeons as expected, FFXIV Dawntrail is adding Pictomancer as a new magical ranged caster, and a considerable number of Tribe Quests.

The Arcadion is the new eight-player raid that is coming with Dawntrail, related to a new and completely original story. It has a futuristic look, but there haven't been many details released regarding the story behind it, only that new characters will be introduced with this raid. When it comes to the release date, the regular version of Arcadion is coming one month after 7.0 lands. For those already chomping at the bit to handle some more challenging content, they haven’t shared when the Savage version of the raid is coming.

The new Alliance raid based on Final Fantasy XI Echoes of Vana’diel had already been announced, but this time developers shared a concept art of the Shadow Lord. He is well-known by players of the first Final Fantasy MMO in the series and now is making his way to FFXIV. Whether he is playing the role of the main antagonist or only one of the very few bosses introduced with this raid is unknown. As already revealed, the Echoes of Vana’diel is coming in patch 7.1.
