Bungie just delivered the third and final developer livestream showcasing everything to come in Destiny 2: Into the Light, the pseudo-season of content leading up to the next major expansion in June, The Final Shape. The first stream focused on the new Onslaught horde mode, the second on the BRAVE Arsenal of weapons getting reintroduced to the game, and the third delved into some Exotic missions making a comeback along with some new PvP maps.

A long stretch of the livestream delves into the design approach for the reintroduced missions, including details on how both have been adjusted for the current meta and freshened up with new mechanics. Keep reading below for all the major points that the livestream touched upon:

Destiny 2: Into the Light Livestream 3 Recap

The stream opened on a change for the BRAVE Arsenal rollout previously mentioned on Twitter:
- All weapons will be released by April 30 rather than the previous, slower rollout of half the weapons at launch and a protracted ongoing rollout for the rest.
Exotic Mission "Zero Hour" for the Outbreak Perfected pulse rifle gets a reprisal
- Released in May
- The Japanese game show Takeshi's Castle inspired the maze that includes the robot TR3-VR (Trevor), and its menacing legs were inspired by one developer's fear of centipedes
  - The TR3-VR acronym internally meant "Tracking Robotic Three-Vector Reducer" until the crowd at Guardian Con decided it was "Tame Relaxed Triple-Vac Roommate"
- A brand-new system has replaced the original secret keycard system
- There's a new ship available inspired by the Outbreak Perfected design style that riffs on the SCRAP CF-717-91 ship from the original Zero Hour
"The Whisper" Exotic Mission also gets a reprisal for the Whisper of the Worm Exotic sniper rifle
- Released at launch with Into the Light on April 9
- The Green Room puzzle was inspired by Black Sabbath music
- The previous public event access to the mission has been changed, and now Eris Morn grants you access to the mission
- New design for the Thousand Wings ship
Developers discuss the immaculate vibes for these two missions
Both missions have more combatants in various encounters to scale with the current power scale differences, along with new enemies
Both missions have been updated with new secret chest locations, puzzles, boss fight mechanics, etc. to keep things fresh
Whisper of the Worm Exotic sniper rifle is now craftable
- Custom Barrel, Magazine, and core perks
- Craftable perks include Mulligan, Field Prep, No Distractions, and Enlightened Action
- Upgraded from 18 to 24 rounds in reserves
Outbreak Perfect Exotic pulse rifle is now craftable
- Craftable perks include Outlaw, Rapid Hit, Rewind Rounds, and Headseeker
- Old Catalysts are applicable, but players can also complete the new Zero Hour on Legend difficulty to unlock them
Three new PvP maps focus on 3v3 competitive play but function across all game modes
- They take place on Europa, Neomuna, and on a Pyramid Ship
- The team brought in superfans from the community to provide actionable feedback
- All three maps will be released on May 7 with an exclusive playlist featuring just these maps

Eventide Labs is a long-forgotten research outpost on Europa that Eramis uses as a refueling station for her Ketch
- It has long sightlines adjacent to the B objective marker
- There are also a lot of tight tunnels with many rooms having multiple access points
Cirrus Plaza is the second map and is a shopping and entertainment center for the Exos on Neomuna called
- The center atrium room is open, with a pit in the middle
- The heavy ammo spawn is adjacent to the center of the atrium in a risky spot
Essence is aboard a Pyramid Ship and therefore presents a challenge for design
- It has dueling ziggurats with a shrine-like area where the Witness seems to keep relics
Pantheon is a new Raid Boss Gauntlet starting on April 30 that provides "an opportunity to face grueling raid bosses in a weekly challenge with escalating difficulties and rewards"

Destiny 2: Into the Light will include a Title associated with the new Triumphs called BRAVE
Into the Light also launches with the following:
- New players can skip the New Light Campaign by selecting "Join the Front Lines" and grab new Light Kits, making it easier than ever to catch up to veterans
- Players will finally be able to adjust the cosmetics of their character's face
- Players will also be able to change their name with one name-change token
