The newest version of Microsoft Flight Simulator is here and one of the most basic questions out there is which planes are available to fly. The good news? You can get a pretty full experience with the Xbox Game Pass version of the title which comes with 20 planes including some turboprops, airliners, and a single jet. The bad news? Getting more planes is super expensive, especially if you haven’t paid $60 for the base game. An extra ten planes are locked behind premium versions of the game which we go over in this Microsoft Flight Simulator planes list.

Note: If you’re on PC and are used to modding, planes in the Deluxe and Premium Edition are encrypted and cannot be improved via mods. On Xbox this is less of a problem, but you’re still probably better off saving your money for quality third party planes.

These planes come exclusively from the middle of the road Deluxe Edition of the game. Keep in mind that if you’re playing the Xbox Game Pass of Microsoft Flight Simulator, you’ll need to straight up purchase these versions of the game. There’s no reduced cost upgrade having “owned” the Game Pass version.

This version of the game runs for about $90. So you’re paying $30 for five new planes and five new handcrafted airports.
