In FFXIV, Immutable Solution joins a whole host of crafting materials one needs to buy (rather than gather, hunt for in the wild, or craft themselves). It’s the Endwalker equivalent of “Sublime Solution,” which Disciples of the Hand from the Shadowbringers days probably recognize as a major component in most endgame gear. Be that crafting, gathering, or combat gear. So where do you find Immutable Solution this time around?
The simple answer is Radz-at-Han. This is the central city of Thavnair (where players go during the story campaign of Endwalker). As such, it should be noted that players need to have unlocked Radz-at-Han as a social hub before they can acquire Immutable Solution in this way. Similar to Sublime Solution and Eulmore in Shadowbringers, the capital does not unlock until much later in the Main Scenario Quest. Not until long after you visit the city for the first time. Also like Sublime Solution, this crafting material is purchased at the NPC simply labeled Scrip Exchange (X: 11.5, Y: 9.5) in the East Balshahn Bazaar. That’s in the northeastern section of the map — in the northeasternmost row of NPC vendors. Thankfully, this is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Radz-at-Han Aetheryte Plaza.
You’ll be much less thankful for the cost of Immutable Solution. It’s 125 Purple Crafters’ Scrips: the more advanced and harder to acquire scrip type for, well, crafters. As such you can find it in the category of the Scrip Exchange shop window labeled “Crafters’ Scrip (Master Recipes/Materials/Misc.)” and then after checking the “Purple Scrip Exchange (Lv. 90 Materials).” This should be old hat for longtime crafters. If you just got into crafting with Endwalker, though, we’ve also included a visual aid below.
That’s a pretty hefty price. Not to mention grinding Purple Crafters’ Scrips gets very tedious very quickly. For those that want to forgo this process, you can also purchase Immutable Solution off the Market Board. Just like Sublime Solution before it. Though this leaves you at the whims of supply and demand — as well as whatever price in Gil that entails.
As for why you want it: Immutable Solution is used in most of the new Item Level 590 crafts available in FFXIV Patch 6.1. This includes the new “Pactmaker” equipment sets for Disciples of the Hand and Land. Note that you also need to have Level 9 Master Recipe books purchased with White Crafters’ Scrips to make these new items, as well. For example: Master Weaver IX, Master Armorsmith IX, etc. Culinarians also need a Master Recipe book for the new Item Level 590 food types but are spared from needing any Immutable Solution for these new crafts. Though that’s only because they instead use the new “Thavnairian Calamari” fish type instead. These require Purple Gatherers’ Scrips used for a particular type of bait to catch the new fish.

Either way, these are going to be the new Purple Scrip items to get for the foreseeable future. Though they likely won’t be the last if prior patterns hold. We might still have new Master Recipe books on the way with all kinds of even more powerful crafting and gathering gear to get our grubby little hands on.
