FFXIV Daivadipa Guide - FATE Info, Bead Rewards, Tracker

Fell yet another primal in the Devout Pilgrims vs. Daivadipa FATE.

Whether you’re in it for the Bicolor Gemstones, the Gaja Suit, minion, or barding, you’re going to need to kill Daivadipa in the Devout Pilgrims vs. Daivadipa FATE at least three times if you want to collect all of the unique rewards. Defeating Daivadipa in Final Fantasy XIV isn’t really a challenge with enough players, so don’t worry about the actual mechanics. Unless you’re in an incredibly small group, which will make the fight nearly impossible, there will be plenty of players around to help. Thankfully, there’s an easy way to make sure you never show up alone. In this guide, we run down all of the FATE info, including how to trigger it, show all of the rewards, and tell you the easiest ways of setting up a tracker for this rare FATE.

If you’re actually trying to start the FATE yourself rather than just waiting for a notification that it’s live, you first need to complete two other FATEs in Thavnair. These are Devout Pilgrims vs. the Jungle Lizards at (X: 34.3, Y: 27.5) and Devout Pilgrims vs. the Apalala at (X: 23.0, Y: 23.3).

Be aware of the fact that the Devout Pilgrims vs Daivadipa FATE will not show up on your map until you get very close to the location at (X: 9.0, Y:37.6). As a note, this is a Level 90 FATE, so be close to that or risk repeated death.

FFXIV Daivadipa Rewards

Aside from about 80 Bicolor Gemstones, the main reason you start grinding Daivadipa is to earn Daivadipa’s Beads, an exclusive currency dropped from completing this FATE. You earn between two and six depending on how well you do, but honestly it’s hard to not earn Gold and get the full six assuming your party is large enough.

When you have your Beads, head to Nesvaaz at Radz-at-Han in Ilsabard (X: 10.6, Y: 10.0). There you can purchase the following:

  • Gaja Head – 4 Beads
  • Gaja Suit – 6 Beads
  • Wind-up Daivadipa – 5 Beads
  • Thavnairian Barding – 4 Beads

In total that’s four Gold medal completions of Daivadipa to get all of the exclusive, market prohibited awards. For screenshots of the rewards, check out the bottom of the article!

Alternatively, you can use a Discord server to alert you whenever Daivadipa is active. Make sure to note which instance of Thavnair the FATE is on, however. The notification will specify Thavnair (2) or Thavnair (3) if this is the case. Out of all the rare FATEs I’ve farmed, Daivadipa seems to be the one that is on an instance most often. You can swap your instance after going to Thavnair by interacting with an Aetheryte shard.

This is the part of the guide where I tell you to join a Discord server. It’s not ideal, but that’s where a lot of communities communicate and coordinate for things like this. If you’re on Primal, like I am, I highly recommend The Coeurl Discord server.

Once you join, scroll down to the bottom of the channels list and select FATE Notifications. Inside you’ll see a few different options where you can customize your notification settings. React with the racoon emoji and you’ll only get pinged when Daivadipa is live. You can find these notifications in the FATE Announcements channel.

Sadly, the Coeurl only serves players on the Primal shard. If you’re on anything else, you can get the same service from the Centurio Hunts Discord server.

When you first join, follow the instructions and type “?iam [Server Name] [Character Name].” After processing that, you’ll get a DM with a link to confirm you’re not a bot. Now navigate over to the Data Center Selection channel and choose yours. If you want to further refine your notification settings, switch to the [Server] FATE Roles channel where you can select specific types of FATEs. Notifications of live hunts are automatically posted by a bot in the Primal S Rank Relay channel.

Once you show up to the location, check the local Party Finder for a group of players also fighting Daivadipa. This will help you maximize your earnings.
