In FFXIV, an Island Onion Set is one of several types of items used to grow crops on an Island Sanctuary. It was first introduced in Patch 6.2.
Unlike more common varieties of Island Sanctuary seeds, such as popotos, you cannot obtain an Island Onion Set through gathering. You must instead purchase it from the Produce Producer (X: 12.8, Y: 26.9). This is the NPC mammet standing at the foot of your crop plots.
One “set” costs two Islanders’ Cowries. The same as every other seed given by the Produce Producer. In fact, despite the name being different from the other items available, the sets function precisely the same as every other Island Sanctuary seed. Each will produce five Island Onions after you plant on your farmland — following a default growing period of 48 real-time hours.
