How to Respec in Elden Ring

There are plenty of opportunities to respec in Elden Ring if you want to change your build.

If you feel as if you have put all of your allocated points into the wrong stats in Elden Ring, don’t panic. As you progress through the game, you’ll find that there is a way to respec once you’ve beaten a couple of the main remembrances. If you’re looking for ways to reallocate your points, make sure to keep reading.

How to Respec in Elden Ring

Whether it be because you made a mistake in your point allocation or whether you just want to try something new altogether, Elden Ring is very forgiving. The game gives you multiple chances to respec throughout the game. In order to be able to reallocate your points, you first need to collect an item called a Larval Tear.

In total, there are eighteen Larval Tears that you can find in the Lands Between, but some of them may come as a challenge. Once you have gotten a Larval Tear, you will then need to make your way to Rennala. In order to respec, you will need to have beaten the Rennala boss fight in Liurnia of the Lakes.

Then, you can respec as frequently and as often as you like, providing you have a Larval Tear to hand.

It’s important to note that when respeccing, your level won’t change. If you have sixty points, for example, you will have to reallocate all sixty points into whatever stats you choose. Equally, you will not be able to bring any of your stats lower than the level they started at.
