Every weekend, Xur shows up around the solar system in Destiny 2 to sell a range of Exotic and Legendary weapons and armor. Besides getting god rolls and high-level stat armor pieces, Xur is a great way for new and veteran players to pick up Legendary armor they may have missed out on when it was first released. Players can pick it up for the stats or unlock it for transmog customization.
This week, Xur has the Opulent armor set from the Season of Opulence's vaulted Menagerie activity. The armor pieces for each class come with mid-60 stats. Menagerie was a six-player matchmade arena with waves of enemies and different objectives and encounters in Emperor Calus's Leviathan ship. The armor reward for completing the activity was the Opulent set. With Bungie placing past seasons and their associated activities in the Destiny Content Vault, Xur is one of the few ways players get those respective armor pieces and weapons.
The Opulent armor set is embellished with gold plating and purple gems, fitting the Leviathan's Cabal-esque luxurious theme. The Opulent set divides into three categories. Hunters get that Opulent Stalker set, Titans get the Opulent Duelist set, and Warlocks have the Opulent Scholar set.
Players looking for that sort of aesthetic in Destiny 2 should consider picking it up if they don’t already have it for transmog purposes. Using Armor Synthesis, players can turn Legendary armor pieces into universal ornaments in the Appearance Customization tab so they won't have to sacrifice style or stats.
Xur can be found at the Tower Hangar this week. Head past the Dead Orbit tents to find the Agent of the Nine standing on the metal staircase. For Exotic armor, Xur has Young Ahamkara's Spine and Peacekeepers for 67 total stats, the latter has high recovery. Winter's Guile has 65 total stats, but it includes high resilience and strength.
