PSA: Eververse is Selling a New Dawning Shader For Bright Dust

Get into the holiday spirit with a new shader that we reckon smells like pine needles and bonfires.

Destiny 2’s 2023 Dawning event has arrived, and it has brought with it plenty of holiday-themed cosmetics. New to the Dawning this year is the shader called Dawning Mirth, which is available at the Eververse store for 300 Bright Dust this week.

Dawning Mirth wears its winter holiday theme with a little more subtlety than the other Dawning shaders, with their lavish celebratory golds or their glacial hues. Instead, Dawning Mirth seems to share a palette with alpine trees, subdued, yet slightly iridescent greens and gray shades resulting in a shader that’s perfect for Guardians who want to look festive without gaudiness.

Looking through the in-game Collections tab, it seems that Dawning Mirth is the only new purchasable Dawning shader this year. Despite this, there are four older Dawning shaders available for Bright Dust this week. Aniline Shock, Dawning Tranquility, and Sharkbite are all variations on icy blues and whites, and Dawning Warmth is a bit more cozy with brown and gold.

Dawning Mirth will only be available for Bright Dust for a week before Eververse refreshes. If you are at all interested in the shader it is worth picking up now, as it may be a long time before it returns to Eververse for Bright Dust — especially as it will likely only be available during future Dawning events. The flipside of this is that when Eververse resets next Tuesday, more Dawning cosmetics and shaders may be available, so keep an eye out in case.
