Avast Guardians, Season of Plunder is here! This space pirate-themed Destiny 2 season is all about crossing blades with Fallen House of Salvation, hunting for buried treasure, and working with everyone’s favorite scoundrel, the Drifter. Of course, there is a bunch of new loot to chase after including a whole suite of weapons that you can farm and craft. Along with all the new seasonal and world drops, there are also three exotic armor pieces to hunt for. One of these Destiny 2 exotics is the Fallen Sunstar helmet for Warlocks and it definitely has a lot of potential.
How to Get the Fallen Sunstar
Similar to other seasonal exotic armor pieces these need to be unlocked in Legendary or Master Lost Sectors. A rotating activity, each day a new Lost Sector and exotic armor slot is chosen. Meaning that there will be days when only exotic chest pieces or gauntlets are rewarded at the end of this activity. A good tool for tracking what Lost Sector and exotic rewards are currently available is the website TodayInDestiny. Alternatively, you can just search each destination map for the Legendary Lost Sector icon (a purple shield) and highlight it to see what exotic archetype is being offered.
For the Fallen Sunstar, you’ll need to keep completing Legendary or Master Lost Sectors when exotic helmets are the reward. If you have every Warlock exotic helmet but this one, the Fallen Sunstar will be guaranteed to drop when you earn an exotic in this activity. Keep in mind, that this may take multiple attempts to drop even if you have every other Warlock exotic unlocked.
The Fallen Sunstar is all about collecting ionic traces to grant ability energy to you and your allies. This makes it a wonderful support exotic — especially with the introduction of Arc 3.0 which has multiple ways to make ionic traces. Along with the Fallen Sunstar, Season of Plunder also introduces the Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk for Hunters and the Point-Contact Cannon Brace for Titans. These are the only exotic armor pieces added into the game this season, so make sure to snatch them up when the correct Lost Sector is available!
