Destiny 2 Beyond Light Brigs Guide - How to Beat the Fallen Mechs

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is finally here after months and months of waiting. Acting as the next major chapter in this FPS/RPG hybrid, players will embark on a journey to Europa to battle against a Fallen leader called Eramis and learn more about the true nature of the Darkness. This expansion includes new characters, missions, endgame activities, weapons, exotics, and enemy types. While there isn’t a brand new race, Beyond Light alters your Fallen foes by infusing them with Stasis abilities making them a far more potent threat. Battling alongside these enhanced enemies is a smaller variant of the Scourge of the Past’s raid boss, the Brigs.

How to Defeat Brigs

Brigs are large mechanized enemies that boast a ton of potent weapons capable of quickly destroying any Guardian foolish enough to cross them. To defeat these foes you will need to first damage them enough to shatter the faceplate on the front of the mech. This will expose a large orange control panel which acts as the Brigs’ critical spot. You’ll need deal about half damage before the faceplate explodes off the mech, making it much easier to kill. Since this mech has a knockback attack, I recommend keeping at a distance when engaging them. Heavy weapons such as grenade launchers, rocket launchers, and machine guns are especially good against them. Once the plate is blown off, just switch to a sniper or your primary to quickly kill them.

More Destiny 2: Beyond Light:

Brigs have several different attacks that can be tricky if you’re unfamiliar with the Scourge of the Past raid. The first is a basic cannon that will fire a volley of Arc rounds. This mech can also rain down mortar fire around it, which deals a high about of damage and can swiftly kill you. When you see the mech’s cannons on its back point in the air, be prepared to move. You’ll see a bunch of red rings appear on the ground indicating where the mortars will hit, so make sure to quickly avoid them. Additionally, this enemy can fire a powerful Solar cannon that dels significant single-target damage. This can kill you with an overshield if you’re just going through the campaign, so be patient and always make sure you have cover to dip behind.

You’ll also come across some Brigs that boast the “???” designation. This means they are entirely immune until you reach a higher light and will destroy you with only a few bullets. Just avoid these Brigs for now, since there’s nothing you can do. Remember, when you can fight them to focus on the faceplate otherwise they can tank a ton of damage. Once that orange core is exposed, you can easily bring this foe down with little trouble.
